It we do not vote out the GOP down ticket this is what they will try to do. GOP is notorious for using their office to try to bring down others in their pursuit of power and money. So if you want a progressive President make sure they have people to back them up in Congress and enough of them to stop republicant attacks in their tracks. Won't matter if it is Bernie or Hillary if you leave them on their own to do it like Obama was left without back up in the Congress. Oh and no she wouldn't resign. She is tougher than that.

My problem will come when President Clinton strikes a deal with the Republicans that involves cuts to Social Security. I suppose my consolation, as I price cat food at the supermarket, will be that the arrangement comes out of that "nice, warm, purple space" that she so values. Presumably the arrangements for military intervention will be similarly purple.
