Trump: Sanders should run as independent

Suggesting that Bernie Sanders has been treated unfairly by the Democratic Party, Donald Trump on Tuesday said that the Vermont senator should abandon his run for the Democratic nomination and instead seek an independent path to the White House.

"Bernie Sanders has been treated terribly by the Democrats — both with delegates & otherwise," Trump tweeted. "He should show them, and run as an Independent!"

Sanders and his campaign have indicated that the senator, who was still listed as an independent on his Senate website as early as this month, will continue to be a Democrat in future elections.

For his part, Sanders suggested in an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" aired Sunday that while the process had been a fair one, he had not received fair treatment from the Democratic Party.

You are correct that Trump and Sanders probably couldnt get on the ballot as third party candidates in some states.

Assuming both Sanders and Trump are third party candidates. A plurality of votes wins each State's electoral votes. Clinton stands a good chance of getting the most. However, it's possible she still doesn't get 270 needed to win. Election is thrown into House of Reps, which will unquestionably vote Cruz as President.

The only way Trump wins vs H is if Bernie runs indie.

H would lose to Trump one on one. That's why the smart money is on Bernie. Bernie will make Trump go home to mommy.

If Bernie runs as an indie, he splits the dems and indies and only the far rw votes for Trump.

To repeat, so you get it: Trump wants Bernie to run indie so Trump can win.

Really, this has to be explained to you? How many times will it take?
