(2,550 posts)Just want Bernie and his supporters to stop doing the RWs job for them.
A debate on political issues is a healthy thing, as well as choice.
But a scorched earth policy doesn't help. Fortunately, I think BS has realized this over the past week and I foresee a healing to begin soon.
you can't differentiate left wing critiques from right wing critiques. Can you give the logic as to why it makes any logical sense to give the right wing a monopoly on critiquing Clinton? How does it make sense, when she is already to the right of the public and her party on the actual issues, to step aside and allow her to be pushed only from the right? It makes sense if you want her to get pushed right, and if you benefit from that. Otherwise, it is insane. It also blows my mind that anyone would try to make the argument that left wing critiques of her benefit the right. Using what freaking logic? If we critique her for being corrupt and for backing inequitable policies, is that not true of the Republicans as well? How can they possibly use the left's critiques. If they can at all, say on corruption, that is because those critiques are true. The fact that it harms your candidate is telling, and you'd think a rational person would question backing someone that can't be defended on that.
The fact is that you chose a candidate that is neck deep in corporate and Wall Street money, someone that isn't trusted (so when she says that those donations don't matter, people look at her record and don't trust her) or liked. It isn't our fault you chose to do that, but I will be damned if you try and get me to not critique her record or her obvious corruption. Makes no sense, and if you can't differentiate a left wing critique from a right wing critique, then you shouldn't be taking part in these conversations. The thing that is frustrating about people like yourself is that you can see the difference and you just want her critics on the left to shut up. Why they would listen to you, especially given that Clinton has basically said she will do nothing for them (including passing policies that benefit working people and the poor), is beyond me.
I guess the folks that call for Obama's birth certificate are no different qualitatively than, say, what Chomsky has said about Democrats like her and her husband.

(14,255 posts)the TPP and cluster bombs and bloody intervention and means-testing Social Security. To name just a few of Hillary's policies that make me want to retch. And - she is very clear that she is standing by those things. Very clear.
THOSE are political issues. I cannot support a candidate like that. And those are not the stances of a Democrat.
It is Hillary who wants the scorched earth. She seems to revel in it.
Doing the RW's job for them? By stating facts? Bullshit, is all I can say to that.

(11,605 posts)Even though I was an Obama supporter I agreed with her that everyone should get the chance to vote.

(1,446 posts)but once the California primary is over, it will be time for him to show his true self, which will happen with his decision one way or the other. If today goes well for Hillary, I don't think she'll have to pay much attention to Sanders anymore. (Meaning spending money against him.) If Sanders continues to mount personal attacks against her, it will just serve to lose him votes as he will look more and more like a bitter old man.

(4,667 posts)I really do think its important that we have an honest president.
Listen to that tape of her joking about defending a rapist of a 12 year old girl. *sigh*
Its easy to find.
