(30,250 posts)No matter how it is presented, more white males support her opponent than support Hillary. Although, I don't doubt that most of them do genuinely prefer Sanders' agenda, there has always been an underlayer of sexism when it has come to Hillary. Same as in 2008, many of the comments on the internet and in the media have nothing to do with her policies and everything to do with her appearance and even her marriage. How many times have Bill's peccadilloes been mentioned on this board? Because, of course, she's responsible for her husband's behavior. Right? At least they haven't descended to the RW meme that if her husband didn't "want her", why should America?
passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)Because according to the link:
Male (41%)........50%............50%
Female (59%).....63%............37%
So men are 50/50 on who they vote for. It's only women who are divided in favor of Hillary, and it's obvious that gender plays a part in that role.
It is you trying to make this sexist again.
And about race. Again it's 50/50 for whites
White (59%)................50%.............50%
Black (22%).................75%.............25%
Hispanic/Latino (14%)....64%..............36%
Whites are evenly split, while blacks and Latinos favor Hillary.
We aren't making it about race or sex...you guys are.

(891 posts)people that make under $30k voted for Clinton 60-40%. So I guess it's true that poor people don't vote.....for Sanders.

(28,341 posts)The IRONY of Sanders throwing the poor under the bus - that was special.

La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)as is his right, but she does have this wrapped up.

(1,249 posts)It ain't over til the soprano sings. Or the indictment comes down.
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)wrapped up, then read a response where someone says that they do (because math), and claim that it's not over till its over.
i mean you can, but it's illogical.
grntuscarora
(1,249 posts)Some are, of course, as some white males are helping to power Bernie's. But geesh, generalize much? So yeah, if I seem illogical, it's in reaction to the sweeping (and illogical) OP.
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)just like its not illogical to say the youth is pro sanders. every young person is not voting for him, but as a bloc they prefer him to her. just like as a bloc women and minorities prefer clinton.
grntuscarora
(1,249 posts)But all the primary voting in all 50 states will need to be completed and reviewed before I'll agree to anything more than that. Btw, many of us have not yet had the privilege of casting a primary vote. I know a generalization when I see one.
La Lioness Priyanka
(53,866 posts)she doesn't because the primaries are not over.

(1,249 posts)We've moved on to old movie trivia references?? When HRC folk try to seem cutting and edgy, they just look kind of old and sad. And that is NOT meant as an insult to older Americans, MANY of whom have ridiculously great senses of humor.
Maru Kitteh
(28,341 posts)The outcome will remain the same.
I'm sorry for the grief so many Sanders supporters are going through. I truly am. I know how much it stings when reality sets in and you realize it's just not going to happen and your guy is done for. It's a difficult thing and hard to go through.
grntuscarora
(1,249 posts)I called your Weekend at Bernie's joke old and sad.

(6,342 posts)The Clintons supported the war on drugs and mass incarceration. Hillary even today still favors the death penalty which disproportionally kills minorities far more than whites.
The Clintons don't hurt white people, or rich white people.
But, people can vote how they want.
