Hillary the Hawk admits she lies to liberals to get their votes!

About the 2007 Iraq troops surge and Hillary's calculation about her 2008 prez run...

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates later revealed in his memoirs that Hillary had told him her opposition was a strictly political move, a disingenuous attempt to get more votes from a war-weary public.

She discredited the 12 year old girl victim and it seems, misled the court as to the willingness of an expert to testify on their behalf.

Its definitely her voice.

One of the biggest influences on Clinton was Jack Keane, a retired four-star general whom the Times describes as “a well-compensated member of the military-industrial complex” and “the resident hawk on Fox News, where he appears regularly to call for the United States to use greater military force in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan.”

Keane took an immediate liking to Clinton and took her under his wing. He tutored her on Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and more.

Clinton asked Keane to be a formal policy adviser, yet he refused — not because he opposed her, but rather because he would not endorse any candidate

It's my understanding that she did oppose Vietnam. The difference- people she knew and cared about were being drafter so she had a personal investment. The wars she has supported with her influence have also been opportunistic and exploitive ventures in pursuit of power. How far she's fallen.

In 20 years we have watched the party turn from something worth supporting, to something that nominates a person that is to the right of everything the party use to stand for. Back when the party meant something.

The last paragraph of the article:

The general election might therefore “present voters with an unfamiliar choice,” the Times concludes: “a Democratic hawk versus a Republican reluctant warrior.”

Trump may well win by going to Clinton's left on foreign policy, while staying to her right on social/economic issues. A "fiscal conservative" who speaks against foreign intervention unless absolutely necessary. That could be a winning platform. Even some people who are liberal on social issues may find the less hawkishness appealing, and hey, Hillary isn't all *that* liberal anyway, nor is Trump *that* conservative.

As well as those in Libya showing African workers (mercenaries!) and Qaddafi loyalists hung in the streets and of so many other atrocities against them. There were many pictures back then of all the horrific things done during that sham. I still think these should have been shown on the nightly news. These people were all invisible, but shouldn't have been. They once lived, and still do matter.
