Bernie is a successful fundraiser because he has spent his life fighting for the common person,

Last edited Wed Apr 27, 2016, 09:37 PM - Edit history (2)

not for the 1%. I read articles about how the elected Democrats are in awe of Bernie's fundraising success. They just don't understand how he does it.

People donate to Bernie because he fights for us. Maybe if you had done more fighting for the people instead of for the 1% you'd be able to raise money from the people too.

Bernie is spreading an important message so stop trying to silence it with your bullying tactics. And do NOT TELL us what to spend our money on. It is really NONE of your business.

Update: People NO LONGER trust politicians. We consider you a step below used car salesman. You will lie to get elected and then shrug it off as if your word means nothing and integrity does not matter. People are drawn to Bernie because his message is backed up by a long record.

And hey you geniuses: I'm sure the GOP is going to be sure to remind Bernie supporters how you trash talked the most honest guy in the race.

1. He was elected in 2008 because of Obama and the Hillary Victory Fund.

Obama campaigned for him and DNC gave him some "evil" corporate cash.

2. So he is now their puppet? I don't think so. The Democrats benefit from having people like Bernie

carry the Democrat label. He owes his allegiance to the American People. Not the DNC.

And that corporate cash is REPAID many times over with disastrous policies that are destroying this country.

And didn't he also help to get Obama elected? It is a two way street.

I get emails now from people trying to jump on Bernie's fundraising coattails. They get nothing from me but dumped into my spam folder.

4. You make an important point

I caught the tail end of someone on Thom Hartmann saying that it wasn't Bernie the person but
his message that was important, but I think what makes the message believable is Bernie's tireless track record. I live in Washington state and a lot of our politicians like to say things that sound progressive but then you find they've gone and voted to fast track the TPP as part of a deal to save the Export-Import Bank!

Many of us would like Bernie's message to become the Democratic Party's message. But as the most credible and effective deliverer of that message he more than merits our continued financial support even if we are not successful in making him the party's nominee.
