A Washington Post story on possible resolution between Clinton and Sanders camps...

https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/plum-line/wp/2016/04/28/the-end-is-near-clinton-and-sanders-camps-quietly-signal-resolution/?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-a%3Ahomepage%2Fstory

The signs are everywhere this morning: The Clinton and Sanders camps are now signaling how the Democratic primaries might wind down without too much noise, contentiousness, disruption, and anger. Could things still get very ugly? Yes. But at this point, that’s looking less likely than the alternative.

In an interview with me, Rep. Keith Ellison, a top supporter of Bernie Sanders who is also the co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, suggested the Clinton camp had some work to do in order to appeal to Sanders’s supporters. But he also carefully noted that Sanders would not do anything to imperil the party unity that will be required to defeat Donald Trump.

“Young people have a set of priorities that make them want to support Bernie Sanders,” Ellison said. “If hypothetically she wins the nomination, in order to get people to support Bernie, she’s going to have to carry the banner that Bernie carried in an overt way. She’s going to have to make it clear to people who support Bernie that she gets where he’s coming from.”

But Ellison added: “Every Bernie supporter knows that this Supreme Court issue is looming. We’ll have party unity….everybody has a responsibility to make sure there will never be a President Trump. Bernie has been around a long time….he’s not going to hand this country over to Donald Trump.”

things, people are done with empty words, and sadly that is all the secretary has to offer. Her words are meaningless, she will do the opposite once elected.

I'm betting they are taking Ellison out of context, and playing this so they can blame accuse Bernie of trying to make a deal (illegal) with Hillary.

If Hillary thinks stealing Bernie's platform planks will help her win over Bernie supporters, then steal the planks ... the need for an 'agreement' has never stopped her before.

Must be awful to have everyone constantly publicly presuming the worst about your near future.

There would be no sane reason to believe anything Hillary promises or swears to.

“Young people have a set of priorities that make them want to support Bernie Sanders,”

And Hillary would shit all over their priorities. She has her own priorities, and they are different. She has already indicated that Bernie's supporters can pretty much go fuck themselves. That is Hillary's true nature.

I don't think that it is widely understood that Bernie is a symbol, this is not a personality cult thing, and Bernie really cannot make anyone vote for Hillary's Third Way warmongering agenda.

Clinton herself, her campaign, her surrogates, and her supporters have, by relying so heavily on distorting Sanders' record, made it difficult for any uniting to happen.

and in fact, does so to steal votes without much blowback.

Why the hell would anyone trust her, if they don't trust her already?

Fuck the Clintons, I think I'd rather give up everything and move to Canada - better Healthcare, better cops, stronger middle class - and soon they'll have a better climate.

I live in a non-swing state. There are about forty of them this go-round.

I get to vote my principles with a clean conscience, without any of that nasty "Trump thanks you", SCOTUS bullshit sticking to my shoes.

In fact, nothing from the Sanders side that sounds different from what we've already heard the past few days. What's new is Brown offering to serve as a go-between and Feinstein calling for unity. Do either of them really need to stick their oars in?

This comes across as another thinly-veiled "Surrender, Bernie" ploy. Doesn't sound like Camp Weathervane is too comfortable with its position.
