1. So, we should vote against our woman candidate because Trump is a sexist dog?

We didn't do that with Obama because there were a lot of racist assholes. The Democratic Party has proven themselves better than that. And still wins.

I also have a feeling the platform is going to be one of our most progressive. Sanders goal at this point should be to maximize his influence on the platform. I'm really excited about the possibilities at our convention.

(cue somebody bringing in some link about Clinton being against infanticide ...)

Clinton wasn't my pick but your OP is a tad exaggerated. Yes we could have done better but she isn't as horrible as some of you are claiming.

LGBT issues aren't "real issues"?

"But in terms of who has the wealth and power and who controls government and policy, not so much." << folks may want to pay attention to local politics, that is where many decisions are made that directly affect them. And oh yeah that is the farm team for higher office and eventually presidential candidates.

But the lines on those are pretty well known, and established. GOP thinks one way, Dems another.

What I am referring to are all of the otehr issues that keep getting ignored and overshadowed, which the middle class keeps getting hollowed out , and the poor get abused by the excessively powerful and obscenely wealthy and Big Corporations and Wall St.
