We do not currently have same day registration: to vote in the June election one must be registered by May 23

The presidential primary is closed: the Democratic party is allowing non-partisan voters to vote in its primary this time around (so are the Libertarians and the American Independent Party).

The primaries for all other offices are open.

"No excuse absentee" voting has been replaced by an option to become a permanent mail voter. Or one can request a mail-in ballot for just this election. You can also vote early at the county registrar's office: some counties have additional early voting locations.

Voters may be asked for id the first time they vote in person: otherwise there is no id requirement (especially for mail-in votes)
