What's in it for Trump might be his best chance at victory.

What's in it for Sanders would be a matter of what concessions he could get from Trump in order to agree.

But it's more an idea for an alternate universe novel than anything that might happen.

It's not so hard to imagine Trump offering, but it's hard to see a scenario that would make sense for Sanders to accept.
