so I know how Sanders's fans feel.

The MSM has been pretty dismissive of Sanders's win last night, and that reminds me of Hillary's situation in 2008. Even though she was winning, super delegates were either flipping or declaring for Obama by this time, so I think he had it a bit easier than she does now.

Anyone who knew anything about Clinton then or now understood that in the end, she would do the right thing. I'm not so sure with Sanders. I think he's been ill-advised by his consultants who ignored policy and ran a negative campaign, something antithetical to the Sanders brand. (And believe me, it is a brand.) I also think Jane really, really wants it and doesn't care how it's gotten.

that says she's trying to be like Obama. The events of the 2008 primary and this one are similar, and they have a candidate in common. It's an observation supported by evidence.

Truth is, a Sanders Admin likely would, as well. Either that or it would be completely stymied.

He does not get enough credit for all he has accomplished. The PURIST LEFT want perfection or nothing at all. No one is perfect but this President is close.

At best, they are doctrinaire. They are only tolerant of a nuanced position if they are the ones who hold it.

The socialist newsletter "Counterpunch" has about a dozen articles dating back at least a decade documenting all the times Sanders sold out principles he claimed to espouse. The negative campaign that he ran during this primary is prime example. Never again can Sanders claim to "have never run a negative campaign." (Counterpunch debunked that particular assertion years ago.)

Purity for thee, but not for me.

Obama was unknown in 2008. He had only been in Washington for two years.

Sanders, on the other hand, has had his butt planted on a back bench in Congress for 28 years. Had he spent any of that time fighting to advance a progressive agenda, people would have known who he was.

And please don't tell me that he's the "Amendment King". An amendment is the most incremental of all incremental measures. But hey, it's a lot easier to add an innocuous paragraph to somebody else's bill than it is to actually draft and introduce legislation and then work to get it passed.
