And other egregious stances coming from GOP politicians.

Trumps stances are egregious as hell.

Bernie is going after disaffected Republicans as well and that is a great thing.

9. I knocked doors and talked to these Republicans. That is what they told me.

My Republican neighbors said similar things about Sarah Palin in '08. These people had never voted for a Dem in their lives. Yes it is anecdotal, but it is not a lie. These voters are going to find it very difficult to get behind Trump.

He implemented the first significant federal affirmative action program.

He dramatically increased spending on federal employee salaries.

He oversaw the first large-scale integration of public schools in the South (something the crackers where I grew up were none too happy about).

He proposed a guaranteed annual wage (aka a “negative income tax”).

He advocated comprehensive national health insurance (single payer) for all Americans.

He imposed wage and price controls in times of economic crisis. This wasn’t a terribly good idea, but it was the furthest thing from a conservative idea. Truth is, it was positively socialist.

He indexed Social Security for inflation and created Supplemental Security Income.

He created the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the Office of Minority Business Enterprise.

He promoted the Legacy of Parks program.

He appointed four Supreme Court Justices. Three of them voted with the majority in Roe v. Wade.

bait-and-switch a couple of times now, with horrific consequences. i sure hope we aren't going to do it again. but as we all know, there are a few jobs left in the country, and tons of civilian locations we haven't hit with cluster bombs yet.

13. When you say she will swing "back" to the right you imply that she swung to the left

I must have missed it when she was ranting about how we would never, ever have a single payer healthcare plan in this country and touting her Republican Dad warning about how when something looks too good to be true it probably is.

Trump is going to be to Hillary's left on trade and wars. If he's smart he will get to her left on healthcare as well. Hillary is going to have a hard time figuring out whether to move left or right when Trump is on both sides of her depending on the issue.
