Clinton backers are calling Bush donors and telling them she "represents their values"One person close to Clinton said supporters of the former secretary of state drew up a list of Wall Street donors who supported Jeb Bush and other unsuccessful Republican candidates months ago but wanted to wait until Trump locked down the nomination before beginning to make the calls.

There's nothing that will hurt her more with the Bernie Sanders/Bill De Blasio/Elizabeth Warren wing of the party than aligning herself with Wall Street, said GOP donor Gregory Slayton.

(362 posts)The Bushes are not the same as the ordinary voters who are manipulated by them.
Justifying becoming an ally of Bushes, Goldman Sachs and the Military Industrial Complex by saying Bernie reached out to a poor voter with little control over the establishment is unacceptable.

If she's the nominee, she's sure making it tough for even the most passionate "stop Trump" voter to lift a finger for her.

Somehow this bush shit just feels like the last straw.
As far as I'm concerned, when we allowed him to steal the election in plain sight; when we allowed them to torture in plain sight, this national sold it's soul. (And when Obama gave blanket immunity to the torturers in our government, I just... words fail me.)
Redemption is always possible. The success of Bernie's campaign gives me hope, but unless the superdelegates wake the fuck up and save us from Clinton, I am not looking forward to what is on the horizon.

(17,064 posts)They are part of the machine. DWS even admitted they are in place to prevent a grass-roots candidate from being nominated. IOW, until Bernie threw a wrench in the works, this was all planned out years ago and set in place. The primaries and convention were intended to be a charade...just the illusion that we matter.
