Incidentally I suggested that the OP label it as satire yesterday. OP didn't. Several others have suggested that the OP simply self-delete. OP hasn't. But s/he acknowledged that it isn't true. The amount of religious symbolism and terminologies swimming around Sanders campaign are truly terrifying to me because history tells us where that can lead.

I frankly think the Pope went way too far in allowing the Sanders campaign to imply a tacit endorsement as it is, but no, he did not and would not endorse a U.S. candidate. They've lost too many Catholics in the U.S. already for him to try something like that. Sad to see that Bernie supporters are still playing that tune.

Does anyone really think that his concern for social justice outweighs the Church's bedrock opposition to contraception and/or abortion? That'd be like Jamie Dimon endorsing Bolshevism.
