http://wonderopolis.org/wonder/if-blood-is-red-why-are-veins-blue

Blood is always red. Oxygen-rich blood is bright red as it leaves the heart. When it returns in veins without much oxygen, it's still red, but it's a deeper, darker red. So why do veins look blue?

It all has to do with the science of light. The colors we see are the result of which wavelengths of light are reflected back to our eyes. Veins appear blue because blue light is reflected back to our eyes.

This may seem odd, since veins contain deep, dark red blood. Scientists believe there are several factors that lead to our seeing veins as blue rather than red.

Blue light does not penetrate human tissue as deeply as red light does. As a result, veins that are close to the surface of the skin will be more likely to reflect blue light back to the eye.

This has nothing to do with Primaries and ought to be in the Low Information Voters forum. Bernie supporters discuss intelligent topics much to the discomfort of Hillary and her devotees who only seem to feel comfortable when frivolous topics are discussed.

This sort of topic also makes Americans look bad. Imagine if some North Koreans got together and their topic of discussion was a discussion on what color curtains their 'Dear Leader' would choose. We would use it to point out that the citizens are servants of their leaders.

Remember, though, that the drapes have to be long enough to hide staffers when HRC walks down the hall. They have to hide from her gaze. Really. Truly. This is not a joke.

If Hillary did not color her hair she'd have gray or silver hair. This is obvious. I actually liked her joke about it regarding Presidents turning gray in office. She promised she'd not turn gray in office. This is amusing and honest.

Bernie is 74, speaking of honesty. In Nov he will be 75 but then again Hillary will be 69. They two of them are not youngsters.

My mother's hair remained dark until she was in her early 80s, when it became a dark gray. My father's went gray in his late 30s. I'm close to Clinton's age and still have mostly brown hair, aside from one gray streak that's been there for over 20 years: my younger sister's hair turned gray a few years back. And St. Ronnie had that dark brown hair throughout his entire term, which we were assured was entirely natural.

If Ms Clinton wants to dye her hair, that's her business. And the ages of all three current candidates do concern me.
