Can't imagine why Senator Sanders and his supporters are so disliked and disrespected by someone like this...
WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

(3,733 posts)Gore stayed in and won the nomination.
Then lost the GE because Nader convinced enough
voters that there wasn't a dimes worth of difference between Gore and Bush.
And here we are 16 years later with the far left trying
once again to torpedo the preferred Democratic candidate.
KPN
(15,650 posts)railroad their agenda through. You ignored that piece.
Hillary has hundreds more delegates and millions more voters.
But when the far left had a candidate that was green...well he wasn't green enough.
It's not an issue in 2016.
Bernies hardcore Bernie or Bust supporters don't have the numbers.

Hillary will get the nomination on the first ballot at the convention.

(3,733 posts)Hillary is going to the Whitehouse.
Sorry if you find that upsetting.
Bernie has neither the numbers nor the power to
be the nominee.
He made a good run but it's done.
He doesn't have and has no way to get the number of delegates
he needs.
His 15 minutes are over even if he decides to continue
raging against the dying of the light.

(13,466 posts)seem to get any, are all those Hillary voters afraid to show their faces? If you can get bernie out of the Convention now , it might be a place Hillary could get to feel comfortable. Maybe introduce Cheney or Kissinger and some of her other supporters.
griffi94
(3,733 posts)I want it to go to the convention so when Hillary wins overwhelmingly
on the first ballot Bernie doesn't have any wiggle room.
There won't be anymore caucuses or primaries after that so his sore loser
rants will be finished.
bahrbearian
(13,466 posts)griffi94
(3,733 posts)And that's your right.
The majority doesn't hold that same view.
The majority of Democrats have given Hillary an overwhelming lead.
They seem to trust her much more than they trust Bernie.
Bernie had a good run.
But he's not going to be the nominee.

(15,650 posts)that have gone into rigging the primary to ensure Hillary's election ... lining up Superdelegates before the primary began and candidates declared, lining up the corporate media and donors (with unspoken promises), a debate schedule designed to suppress viewership, DNC attacks non-stop against the popular "insurgent", primary election shenanigans in nearly every State, etc etc.
Votes honestly earned are admirable; votes earned on the other hand dishonestly or by calculated manipulation are reprehensible.
griffi94
(3,733 posts)It's not real. It's just an excuse as to why Bernie lost.
Democrats rejecting him is why he lost.
Democrats prefer Hillary.
In any case Bernie is too far behind in pledged
delegates to catch her.
He also trails by 3 million+ votes.
The superdelegates aren't going to break for him.
So it is what it is.
KPN

(3,733 posts)Since the Democratic contests aren't winner take all.
He's not going to the convention with the most pledged
delegates and he's not going to be the nominee.

(443 posts)That still think Bush won FL fairly? You do know that independent media counting of the ballots proved that Dole won FL. Just a bunch of "Voting irregularities" changed the count and SCOTUS ruled that recount would not happen. Man I can not believe this website some times. It really makes me wonder why on a website that is suppose to be for liberals I read so many people who have a GOP point of view on things. Like thinking Bush actually won the election and was not handed it like History has shown us.
griffi94
(3,733 posts)But I think it was close enough to steal because
Nader convinced enough voters that there wasn't
a dimes worth of difference between Gore and Bush.
The hardcore progressives and the perpetually disgruntled
seem perfectly OK with letting perfect be the enemy of good.
That seems to be a feeling that's shared with the Bernie or Bust people.
The difference is I don't think enough voters will ever believe that again.
Bush did way too much damage.
Some of Bernies supporters can't seem to stand the idea that Hillary will
be president.
They're going to be sorely disappointed.

Rendell is an anathema to me.

(9,314 posts)He and Clinton talked about this and both thought in states where Clinton's appearance would hurt Gore, Clinton would not campaign. In states that did not care about the impeachment and subsequent soap opera, Clinton would (and did) campaign.

EXCERPT...
In addition to his current duties as professional-liberal-even-Joe-Sixpack-can-love on MSNBC, Ballard Spahr court jester, corporate consiglier at Greenhill & Co investment bank, Rendell is currently co-chairing the steering committee of something called The CEO Campaign To Fix The Debt a blue-chip cabal of 130-plus plutocrats who have anted up a $43 million kitty to fund a multimedia stealth campaign/public relations offensive to convince the turkeys to vote for Thanksgiving.
Fix The Debt is pushing for radical alterations to the tax code to legalize a hundred-plus billion dollar corporate tax dodge and pass the buck onto the middle/working/underclass in the form of deep cuts to Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, all the while masquerading as a selfless crusade to save the nation from going over the [cue thunder and lightning] financial cliff. Bless their blackened hearts.
One of the Fix The Debt campaigns main proposals for deficit reduction is creating a territorial tax system that would enable corporations to evade taxation on offshored earnings which amounts to a combined $418 billion from the Fix The Debt member corporations when they bring that money home, and giving themselves a $134 billion tax break, according to a new report from the Institute for Policy Studies titled The CEO Campaign to Fix the Debt: A Trojan Horse for Massive Corporate Tax Breaks.
Just to be clear, they are talking about paying off the national debt by pocketing $134 billion in taxes annually.
And thats just from Fix The Debt corporate signatories. Taken as a whole, the S&P 500 currently has an estimated $1.5 trillion in revenues in offshore havens. Thats roughly the size of the national debt in 2009.

Former Democratic National Committee Chairman and ex-Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a huge Hillary Clinton backer, took a shot Sunday at persistent progressive challenger Bernie Sanders supporters, saying that they need to behave at the partys nominating convention this summer.
I think its going to be a great convention, Rendell said on John Catsimatidis radio show The Cats Roundtable on AM 970 of the Democratic National Convention in July in Philadelphia. But of course the key to it is the Sanders people.
Bernies going to have his name placed in nomination. Were going to have a roll call. Theres going to be a demonstration in support of Bernie. Hes going to lose the roll call. His supporters have to behave and not cause trouble, Rendell said. And I think they will, and I think Sen. Sanders will send them a strong message.
<snip>
Even though I'm almost 70 years old, when an old fossil like Rendell says I as a Bernie supporter need to "behave," I hear it as a dare. It almost makes me wish I was going to the convention so I could "misbehave" a little bit.
