Here's what I don't get about the supposed Republican "enthusiasm advantage"

Wouldn't we see this reflected in early voting?

If I'm so excited about getting Obama out of office, why would I wait until Election Day? I would think these guys would be all over the early voting which would further the narrative of a Romney surge/Obama in trouble.

Maybe I'm missing something here...

Mitt Romney's 'donations' for storm victims.

There is no enthusiasm in the Republican party.
Only loathing.

Its not enthusiasm or they wouldn't have say the race was close.

I have seen 1 yard sign and 2 bumper stickers so far around town and I've really been looking. For the last Pres. election, there were McCain/Palin signs everywhere. There isn't much entusiasm out there this time around that I can see.

It is not entirely clear if these responses reflect only likely voters. If they do, many very enthusiastic Dems would simply not be included in the numbers. Further, depending on how the polls treat those who have already voted (aren't they moved into some "exit poll" category?) those who have already voted would also not be included. Perhaps these issues would explain it? It does not reflect my reality.

in some ways this doesn't matter. In my neighborhood, there are more Romney signs than Obama signs. But all the Romney signs are in the same yard: Dude, no matter how enthusiastic you are, you still only get one vote.

composed of small business owners fully expecting the usual political reparte' that accompanies any meetings with these guys. all the cons were in there locker room when i stuck my head in and commented on how i respected christie's handling of the storm. lots of cons staring at the floor, lots of dejected looks. one con looked up, looked me right in the eye,and said romney and ryan would have never been my first choices. i had a real hard time not bursting into laughter.two weeks ago these s ame guys were touting the virtues of there idealogies ad nauseum. definately a negative shift in thier enthusiam.
