couldn't resist
Funny and strange to see only two candidates on the ballot. I figure Rmoney is going to win VA anyway but it was fun to protest vote for Ronny the Wingnut. I had some local rethug try to get me to sign a petition to get on the ballot to run against Bobby Scott and I laughed at him and said "no thanks" and walked away. He has about as much chance to un-seat Bobby as Palin has of identifying Russia on a map.
The stage is about set for Obama v Rmoney and we should welcome the challenge. No contest!

It was empty at my polling place too. I think I was number 11 or so. The last big poll in VA was NBC/Marist and it had Obama leading by double digits. I predict these numbers will be the lowest on record for a primary in VA.

(43 posts)In Georgia, you can ask for either party's ballot. Actually, you don't have to ask for it verbally, you just check off which one you want. That was fortunate for me because I don't know if I could have really uttered the words "I want a Republican ballot" outloud...lol.
But, I voted for Frothy saint Rick because he's trailing in the polls here in Georgia but is close to the magical 20% he needs to get some delegates.
My strategic vote for him is along the lines of hoping the clown show goes longer and that Romney has to keep spening more time and money not aiming at the President.
So, yes I need a shower now. But, I think I did the right thing for the greater good.
Hope that Frothy gets his 20 here in GA and that he wins TN, OK, and Ohio. Go frothy one!

(4,711 posts)I predict a Paul Surge, at least here in NoVA. (Much cleaner and less disgusting than a Santorum surge.)

(5 posts)I recently wrote this essay in response to Governor McDonnell's interview with the National Review. In short, his uninformed perspective on the recent women's health legislation is truly what the "kerfuffle" is all about.
