Politico: Wasserman Schultz Planned to Accuse Obama of Anti-Semitism if DNC Job Threatened

Snip>Wasserman Schultz has a different sense of herself. According to people who spoke with her, when she sensed Obama was considering replacing her as chair in 2013, she began to line up supporters to suggest the move was both anti-woman and anti-Semitic. Under fire last fall for her leadership, she took Obama’s decision not to remove her then as evidence of renewed strength and said she was confident no one could get her out of the DNC before her term is over at the beginning of 2017, according to sources who’ve spoken with her. She’s also been known to joke around the office about how having a vacation home in New Hampshire might one day be helpful in a presidential run.

It would be interesting to see which cabinet position she gives DWS as reward for corrupting the Democratic primaries. Likely SoS which DWS would use, like Hillary, to enrich herself and claim experience for a run as president./

While there was a story in Politico, it concerned A possible DWS run for Senate.

Why do the concerned progressives so frequently link to virulently right wing websites like Truth Revolt? Is this where they go for news?

Truth Revolt and my question stands.

Sun May 22, 2016, 10:45 AM
May 2016

He was allowed to run for the nomination of a party he didn't belong to. Sanders was pretty up front about joining the party in order to exploit its resources and run for president.

State Boards of Election determine what type of primaries and/or caucuses are held, not the parties. California is the rare state that gives the parties some say in who gets to vote in their primaries. The Democratic party had the option of closing California to Independents, and it didn't, even though the Republicans did.

The DNC is so obstructionist that it is allowing Independents to vote in the largest primary in the country. Kinda blows a hole in all the conspiracy theories.

And plenty of Democrats were willing to vote for Sanders until he and his supporters made it clear that this is about Bernie and Bernie alone, not the voters, not the constituents, not policy, not the Supreme Court. It's about an entitled old man and his equally entitled followers.

Now tell me again, what obstacles did the DNC put in Sanders path?

We know this isn't about Bernie at this point. Hillary's next target is "entitled" followers. We now have the right wing faction of the DNC, and the republican party, attacking anyone who try's to protect our safety net and fight's for income equality. She is setting the same type of tone that Bush did before he tried to privatize SS.

Get out of here with that right wing attempt to demonize the "entitled"

Politico IS the source NOT Truth Revolt. And the story didn't go anywhere because it wasn't that big of a story. No one was going to give a shit about what the DNC Chair was thinking of doing. It's not a crime to think about killing someone, it's a crime after you pull the trigger and take action. Still it got picked up by Mediate and a shit load of places.

Just because it wasn't a big story doesn't mean it didn't happen. Politico has sources as they say in the article.

... cite Debbie's record.

Lost a bunch of House seats, the Senate, 12 governorships and over 900 state seats while Chair of the DNC
Supported Republicans over Democrats in two Florida districts
Conceded entire districts to the Louis Gohmerts and Joni Ernsts of this world by abandoning the 50-state strategy
Supported a Republican retread for the Florida Democratic Party Gubernatorial candidate (he lost to Rick Scott, again)
Undermined President Obama's treaty with Iran
Shilled for the private prison industry
Shilled for the booze industry
Shilled for the payday loan industry
Blamed the voters for her failures

Yet still he came out and endorsed her. I'm guessing any threat was a lot worse than an anti-semite slur.

The alternative, of course, is that he's satisfied with those results.

I can't figure out if Obama's doing the Reagan/James Watt thing, where it's always helpful to have a lightning rod appointment who's hated more than you are and takes the heat, or if he's that intimidated by her fundraising connections, or if David WS and the whole personal network really matters that much.
