During the time bush stole office and we had 8 years of republican virtual dictatorship

I don't remember seeing Bernie coming up and defending progressive or liberal causes. I don't remember him being a leader against the republican smear machine. I don't remember his presence in 2008 - a crucial election if there ever was one.

Maybe I missed it. I'm going to do google searches to see if I'm wrong.

When Gore had more votes than bush, but was denied the Presidency, I don't remember a single Senator, Bernie included, coming out to defend democracy. If there was ever a stealth of democracy, THAT WAS IT. We were ruled by an imposter for 8 years who never got the votes to be president. scalia stopped the vote counting in florida.

And I just saw a program showing a chair was raised in Nevada. I say this because I had an open mind, but don't like denying facts. And I just saw one on television - and not on MSNBC or CNN.

I also saw another program where the Trump spokesman kept using Bernie's words to attack Hillary. the host eventually asked - 'yes, but what does Trump believe?'.

My beef with Hillary is why she has been so naïve to allow her to be in his position. Not long ago, her approvals were well over 50%. Nothing changed accept ongoing attacks against her in the media and by members (supposed) of her party. And now she is having to defend situations that will not impact our lives, but which people will continue to attack her. By now she needs to understand the machines she is up against and needs to be careful about what she is saying and understand how much people on the right and now some on the left want her to lose.

which is why you didn't see him stand up in the Senate. I do believe he signed on in the House.

I can't speak to 2008 specifically. I can say Bernie Sanders was a regular on the now-defunct Air America, and lent his voice to the run-up to 2006. Without the 2006 slaughter of the Republicans at the midterms, Barack Obama doesn't have a Senate supermajority when he assumes office, and a lot does not get done in those first two years.
