2. Paul has some kind of secret deal with Romney. GOP establishment's Hair Is On Fire.

Romney has promised Paul something, so Paul never attacks Romney. But Paul attacks Santorum and Gingrich.

I think GOP establishment are wringing their hands over what to do. Romney is weaksauce. Damaged Goods. Santorum is insane and would lose in a landslide.

But teabags hate Romney, and won't be motivated to come out to vote.

While Dems will come out to avoid the Republican Apocalypse. (or maybe Republicans will get lucky and Dems sit home on their fat asses thinking "I don't need to vote, Dems will win anyway" or "I am disappointed in Obama, he just isn't X enough for me.&quot (GOTV!)

To late to introduce a last minute savior candidate, anybody they can think of is TOO SMART to get involved in 2012

up the delegates and cause a hung convention. Then on the second ballot they could bring in someone else like Jebbie. I think that's the plan.

6. So GOP establishment thinks America is ready to elect Bush III?

You may be right, GOP establishment may be that panicked that they think that is a "great idea!"

One argument I have heard against that is that it would TOTALLY SCREW them with the crazy teabag base. They would be outraged, maybe even go third party.

The other saviors I hear floated by GOP'ers are:

- Gov Mitch Daniels. He's about as crazy they come. Media would try to hide it, but don't think they could make him a credible candidate. Way the hell out of the mainstream.

See this article if you dare:

"Mitch Daniels Warns of the "Red Menace"
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/09/13/daniels_book_confronts_todays_challenges_111309.html

- Gov Bob McDonnell. You know him as "Governor Vaginal Probe"

- Gov Chris Christie. I honestly don't follow Christie, I suppose he could appear credible. But he is too smart to run in 2012, saving himself for 2016.

Just My Humble Opinion. It is fun to think about.

11. Yup, the Tea Party types probably wouldn't like Jeb. But...

their pathological hated for President Obama might override that. And since we wouldn't know that this would happen until the convention there probably wouldn't be enough time to mount a third party challenge since filing deadlines in many states would have passed already.

I'm moving to the Republic of Madawaska.

And I will proudly raise the flag of Madawaska over my home:

...because no way do I want any part of a United States led by Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum!

...many people have compared this race to the '08 race between Hillary & Obama. They assumed that, because that '08 race made them stronger, that the current primary will make them stronger too! But what they forgot was that Hillary & Obama were already good candidates......the intense debates did help to make them stronger because they each had a good foundation!! That's why it's having the opposite effect for republicans!

The only ones who have asked Newt to quit are from Santorum. And really, it's Newt's choice.....he can stay in as long as he wants to!! Or at least until his super-rich backer decides he's had enough....

Remember in '08, once it was obvious that Hillary didn't have the math to win, many people thought she should leave but she kept hanging in there! I remember one night when she was expected to give her concession speech, she gave a speech but it wasn't a concession speech! In the book Game Change, some in the Obama campaign said she was like the thing that just wouldn't die! As if it was a horror movie.....

So I think Newt doesn't have to quit if Hillary was so resistant to quitting. Plus it's really, really good for the democrats if he does stay in!!

8. Gingrich is not dropping out.

He was on Bill Bennets show this morming and he was pretty firm about it. He said even if he does not do well in AL and MS he still not giving up. He referred back to when Santorum was doing poorly and he ignored calls to resign. Noot loves the limelight and the platform. It will help him sell more books when this is over.
