2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo, if President Obama's legacy gets tainted by all the Clinton stuff
(the Clinton Foundation, speaking fees, and lots of other stuff) how will that go over with Democrats who strongly support President Obama?
From the comments I've heard, I don't think it is going to go over well...
And they accuse Bernie of harming the party...

(34,845 posts)Like it or not, Clinton is the favored of the Democratic Party. You can complain about that all you want but you're doing no one a service.

(7,318 posts)when you said "Clinton stuff" that you meant baggage. Fair enough. Pretty sure "socialist president" would be touted by the gop relentlessly though, and if his presidency did not work out that well one could easily say that the baggage he brought (wrong and unfair as it is) tarnished Obama's legacy. Point is this is an exercise in futility, unless we can see into the future it's all what if's and anyone can make what if's into what they want.

(7,318 posts)Hillary Clinton cosponsored legislation to expand protections for workers pensions and cosponsored bills to protect overtime pay for working Americans. Fighting alongside her Senate colleagues against the Bush Administrations efforts to cut overtime pay for millions of workers, she said on the Senate floor, I have yet to hear a compelling reason that some workers currently eligible for overtime should lose that eligibility. Hillary also cosponsored legislation to strengthen the law requiring employers to give workers advance notice before mass layoffs are announced.
