2. A cruel reality of life is that one does have to choose and a failure to act is an act.

It's just the way it is. There is no neutral in life.

Sometimes it's wise to sit back and watch the wheels go 'round.

The search for "neutral" in life is a pursuit all it's own.

"Sometimes it's wise to sit back and watch the wheels go 'round."

Maybe everyone will benefit. But, sitting and watching is just another way of participating. Most of the rest of the world interprets it as a sign of incapacity, satisfaction or complacency.

But its simple: One can choose to help stop the Mar-A-Lago Madman, or not to.

This isnt exactly rocket science.

HRC supporters say not voting, or writing in Bernie or the Green candidate, makes you a Trump supporter.
A hundred times a day. It's a standard reply to Bernie folks.

Overhyped HRC supporters on DU say a lot of stupid things as do overhyped Bernie supporters. There are about 5 or 6 on each side.

9. Such black and white thinking is known as Manichaeism

Although Manichaeism can refer to a form of religious belief, it also refers to a philosophical approach that divides the world into good and evil, with no in-between, and thus no ambiguity.

Jost et al found that cognitive approach to be highly correlated with conservative thinking and conservative political behavior...

Like so many things they do to put down Sanders supporters, it simply reveals them as being other than liberals.

Liberals tend to see others' behaviors in various often ambiguous shades of gray, which provides room for tolerance that is less likely frame others as enemies.

total lack of nuance

and this authoritarian crap where our leaders(also employees) are beyond any criticism is disturbing. These people also seem to crave a police state.
