GOTV in Nevada (NV) Final Day. Dems lead by > 69,000 EV

Organizing For America delivered a monster blow for Obama today, a net gain of 9,633 Democratic early votes.

11/03/12 1:15 AM EST - Democratic GOTV surges FORWARD with a blow out of 9,633* If you're not saying HOLY PH*CK right now, you don't know how huge that number is. You're seeing it here first. No media outlet has these numbers compiled yet.

Despite overall statewide turnout slowing by about 10% from a week earlier, Democrats are still turning out in larger numbers than Republicans. At the start of the week it was reported that Republicans may be catching the Democratic GOTV. That day the Dems only gained about 850. But Tuesday's Dem gain was 2,500, Wednesday's gain of ~3,300 Thursday's ~5,200.** In other words, Democrats are still casting ballots in more aggressive numbers than Republicans.

Unofficial NV SoS Results for 11/02/12 - Official results to come out Monday morning.

Democratic lead - ~ 70,243
Clark County (Las Vegas) - 70,694 (2008 lead by election day was ~80,000. Dems won NV by 12% that year)
Washoe County (Reno) - <451> Reps pick up 5 votes, five.

Further demoralizing Republicans will be the above results from today's two county EV.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

* I presume that there will be a negative affect from absentee votes, which is why I'm conservatively saying 69,000, when the actual two county numbers clearly show 70,000+.
** Clark County raw numbers show 48,190 votes cast.

Yes, but that is not the standard. 2008 was a landslide VirginiaTarheel Nov 2012 #6

I am hearing Democrats had huge day in Clark County today -- gained 9,600 voters, went over 70,000 lead. Waiting for final numbers...

Official Clark numbers: Dems gained 9,638 voters. Turnout was by far biggest of two weeks -- 48K. With mail tally, lead is just over 70K.

I loved the second one. It sounds like a journalist frantically trying to corroborate a story. Who do I call? Damn it, where's their number!? Will they still be up at this late hour. The County hasn't even posted the results on their Web site yet. Where did this rumor come from?

Come on! Come on! Someone answer their phone already. This story is breaking. It's big news.

Me thinks anyways.

Isn't it true that we, Nevada, are not as many votes ahead as we were in 2008 even though a higher percentage of people have cast their ballot?

That is true. There's plenty of work left to do before Tuesday November 6th.

This is encouraging though, because the M$M/Faux News have been trumpeting the propaganda that Dems are apathetic this election cycle. Nevada Dems fighting back in the final week of EV posted these two-county gains over Reps:

Monday = 850
Tuesday = 2,500
Wednesday = 3,300
Thursday = 5,500
Friday = 9,600

The Obama ground game and voter turnout has been near record levels, 2008 being the standard. Doesn't sound like Democrats are apathetic and the M$M/Faux News have once again been proved wrong.
