From Bernie camp? Are they really trying to become like the Trump campaign? Can we expect more gutter politics from his campaign? His campaign manager should be fired for that accusation against Senator Boxer. When is enough enough?

But hey guys, because Boxer didn't get in a fetal position for you all, of course, you call her a liar.

(1,237 posts)For gods sake, just watch any of the numerous videos out there before you continue on labeling everyone. "Hoisting chairs" Are you saying Barbara lied about the chair being thrown?
"most women would be intimidate by the yelling, screaming, name calling, hoisting chairs, ect..."
Yet, she went on stage and screamed "HILLARY!" "WERE WINNING!" Not the type of inciting language I would use if I was surrounded by a mob of young angry violent Bernie bros .
These prejudiced, hate full smears are pathetic. The worst part about reading these types of smears is knowing that you and others are just repeating crap the Hillary campaign's putting out there.

(14,689 posts)I won't accuse her of lying, as only she knows her mental state. But I've found a pattern of dishonesty from the Clinton side in this NV incident. Roberta Lange is cited as being a Sanders backer, but there was no record of her ever endorsing Sanders. Conveniently she is now undecided. Same thing with America Ferrera claiming that "English only!" was chanted back in February. The whole thing looks like a ploy to systematically smear Sanders supporters. And a few of our own fell for the trap by leaving incendiary messages for the Chair. Being a liar doesn't mean Lange should be treated that poorly.

(8,776 posts)whereas Hillary Clinton are from a position of strength -- what the situations have in common is unequal power relations.
The gas lighting, mocking, etc. we see from the Clinton campaign towards the Sanders campaign are the same tactics used by the more powerful emotionally abusing spouse to the trapped spouse in an abusive relationship.
I am disappointed in Senator Boxer who I have voted for during her political career. Boxer did not need to mock, diminish, and exaggerate actions by Sanders supporters.

(7,318 posts)of Sanders. Fully half of all the delegates there should have been women, if the Democratic Party rules for electing delegates were followed. But that doesn't fit your narrative.
Boxer, surrounded by security, in full command of the mic and the stage, dominated and antagonized those women and men with her pre-planned agenda of harassement.
She bullied them and poured gasoline on the havoc she wrecked with her "fuck you" kisses. She doesn't get a pass because she is a woman. Shame on her!!

(8,776 posts)Boxer was not without fault in whatever actually happened.
Boxer's role as a party elder was to calm and bring together party members not add fuel to flame.
From what I saw, Boxer made no attempt but to deliberately set more flame.
I find this sad as I have voted for Boxer for decades.

Boxer's appearance in NV and afterwards in the media appears planned and staged, a cheap political stunt.
You are lying to yourself and those that read your words to ignore that manufactured political stunts for the media were common tactics by Hillary Clinton in 2008 and now again in 2016.
Boxer was no more afraid than you are to post at DU.

He asked why I asked him that. I said because after I sue you I will own it. I was going to jail. Any sentient person would have been afraid and I was. However I wasn't going to let him have that satisfaction.
But as always I was vindicated in the end. the charges were dropped, and I ended up successfully suing the police department for false arrest, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution.
Long story short, one can be afraid and not yet cower,

(13,714 posts)I saw the interview with Weaver, and I think that he didn't quite accuse her of that.
On the other hand, we have numerous reports from people who were there who say that there was no violence or threats of violence at the convention. Video evidence seems to corroborate that.
Barbara Boxer has every right to have felt threatened, and I will take her word for it that she did. But what happened at the convention were loud angry protests in response to flagrant abuses of power on the part of Hillary surrogates -- not violence. If Boxer felt threatened by that, that's her right, but don't blame it on the Bernie delegates. Their protests were not only excusable, they had an obligation to engage in them in defense of democracy for those who elected them.
