What does this say to our children?!?

The State Dept. IG report explicitly cites the rules that Hillary disregarded, and willfully broke. As a father raising a teenage daughter trying to teach her right from wrong. One would think that I could use the "Democratic nominee" for President as an example for my daughter. Sadly, I can't.

It's about time that we hold our political leaders up to the same standards that we hold our children.

If they affect your ability to accomplish the really important aspects of your job, you find a way to work around them. Sometimes that'll get you in trouble with a by-the-book dufus, or someone out to get your ass. Other times, you accomplish the real aspects of your job, or other activity.

Otherwise, the kid will grow up anally retentive and miserable.

It's the willful aspect of it that bothers me so. The President made it a cornerstone of his campaign, being transparent...if anyonewould know that it would be her. To willfully break that rule, in my eyes...as an Obama supporter, is inexcusable. If it were something "to work around", you'd think she'd want clearance...since it's so important.

but thank you, I can use this to stress...important rules.

Shake my fist at the world? Lol

I woke up this morning and played with my dog in the front yard. Ran two miles, had breakfast, posted some here, got cleaned up and headed into my office. Sent some emails to county commissioners as I'm a part of a group trying to stop the development of homes on ten acres known to be the home of an endangered species. Now I'm laughing at you.

And it's only 9:40 in the morning.

Has to endure ... Thru out a lifetime because of the privilege and entitlement. Teacher her that as Clinton preserves with the extremism, she has to work twice as hard, be three times better. The front runner thru out as continually called a loser, never good enough and continue on to success.

Or you can teach her that is her role, suck it up and pretend there isn't a game being played and allow the unlovely playing field feeling sorry for the oppressor. Watching her tone, sitting quietly hands on her lap, eyes down and behaving as man demands of her.

I don't think it's helpful to see someone of authority twisting and manipulating rules to get what they want either. We watch the morning news, CNN New Day mostly....she's heard about the Trump stuff...not the Bernie. There's freaky, and then there's fundamentals. This goes to the fundamentals.

You know that, surely. This is nothing new. Expecting purity from our leaders is a fools errand and teaching children to expect that is setting them up to live a life of anger and resentment, rather than preparing them for reality.

You are not actually serious, but using this topic as a stick. Being careful of old men is one of the first things you teach young girls. That is always before 'fundamentals'. You know that. Be more honest about your threads.

Isn't what life is about. You teach them reality, not that politicians should be pure of heart, America is the greatest country on earth or if you work hard, you'll get what you are earned in proportion to the work you put in.

Realism avoids the need for cynicism.

yeah, there's always grey areas and that's why we've tried to teach her to make good judgements.

but shouldn't we hold our leaders up to higher standards than what we do?

and can break whatever rules they want to break, whenever they want to break them.

Richard Nixon once said, "If a President does it then it's not illegal." Essentially, the entire Watergate thing and his forced resignation sent the message that even Presidents need to obey the law.

Unfortunately, lots of people in high office or in some sort of high position still believe rules and laws don't apply to them.
