You ask, "I mean who else is he going to testify against?" IIRC (I haven't followed the whole story in detail), his public statements referred to hacks of multiple targets. We're focused on Hillary only because she's a current candidate and we're politics junkies.

I'd find it plausible that he actually did hack some other emails but that his assertion of having hacked Hillary's is bogus. OTOH, maybe he was telling the truth and knows stuff that will be devastating to her, even if only because it puts one or more of her aides in a bad light.

I just hope the uncertainty is resolved before the convention.

Didn't this guy say he'd hacked some emails that had nothing to do with Clinton?

Just because his other targets were government officials who aren't running for President doesn't mean the FBI and DoJ won't care what went on.

Too easy to impeach or discredit before a jury, if going to trial is even the desired outcome. I would also be worried about the provenance of any evidence he produces. But they brought him here so I guess they hope he produces something of value. Or else, they just want to sit on him so he doesn't give any more media interviews for a while.
