2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumYou can't believe anything Hillary says. She lies all the time.
Have you ever paid a technician to set up your own personal email server because it seemed more convenient than using the free one at work? Probably not.
The only reason Hillary did that was to avoid government oversight laws. Probably because she was doing some very crooked things. Probably taking money from horrible people and then providing them government services.
Her crew deleted tons of emails before they could be exposed.
They knew destroying the evidence would be a scandal. But they they made a political calculation that whatever was in those files would have been a much worse scandal. Whatever it was we'll never know, but it must have been simply awful.

(1,446 posts)Showed that only 40% of Democrats said they found her to be honest. That means that many of her own supporters and voters think she is a liar. Quite the campaign for winning people over.

Go to 3:15 to hear her admit this.
She knew that if her e-mails were available to the State Department that she may get into trouble for whatever she was doing! This was all preplanned. She is not a stupid or naive woman.

(6,115 posts)Clinton's inner circle all had Blackberrys and their own mail accounts on the same server. included in all those emails are ones regarding the various Clinton foundations and various donors and allies. Once probable cause was established for that server in a criminal investigation, then it became open season for everything it contained. All the Clinton operations are now evidence in a criminal inquiry.
Probable cause is critical in any criminal investigation. The Guccifer hack of Blumenthal's email is a key to establishing initial probable cause in this matter, whether he successfully hacked her server or not.

You can of course choose to ignore this advice because that is your prerogative but consider this, do you want people to talk about Bernie like you just did about Hillary?
Edit: In case you were wondering I was one of the ones who voted NOT to hide your post.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
"Hillary lies all the time" If I said this about Bernie, I would get a hide. This is divisive and NOT helping in what we are facing D. Trump!
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu May 26, 2016, 12:53 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Violation of TOS, attacking the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for POTUS with right wing talking points looks like the action of a paid right wing troll. This poster should be banned immediately. MIRT needs to ban this troll.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: As long as you're pro-Hillary or pro-Bernie, it doesn't matter. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of GDP.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I completely disagree with the poster about claiming she lies all the time and I believe they are either a troll or simply a delusional individual who forgot to take their meds but that aside I am not sure if this really deserves a hide
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Edit: Also just wanted to add again that you might want to again consider just pausing for a second or two in the future and ask yourself "Would I be upset after reading this if it was directed at someone I know or support?" before you post.

(2,064 posts)FWIW, I've had posts hidden for simply posting an unaltered picture of Hillary wearing an orange pantsuit. A photo actually released by HER campaign.
If that is the level of sensitivity that will trigger a meltdown by Hillary supporters, i probably won't be around for long. And then you people can enjoy the echo chamber, free from anything that might constitute disagreement with the world according to Hillary.

(10,164 posts)Yes, a purge is coming...after the convention. No problem: after the convention, unless Princess Weathervane does the right thing and suspends her campaign, I'll be taking a break from here anyway. Even given the huge changes coming, I'd have honored the rules.
If the purge occurs, against all previous statements and policies, before the convention? Well, that wouldn't be a place I had any interest in remaining, anyway.

(546 posts)Democratic Primary voters and Caucus attendees in the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Washington D.C. with 760 pledged delegates at stake will decide Hillary Clinton's immediate electoral fate and in my humble opinion, that's just as it should be.
