The only good white voters are Hillary voters.

all others are, at best, suspect.

And let me blast this clearly:

I AM NOT PLAYING THE VCTIM. I DO NOT FEEL VICTIMIZED. I CERTAINLY RECOGNIZE MY PRIVILEGE AND THAT SOME OF IT STEMS FROM HAVING SIMPLY BEEN BORN WHITE.

Now that that's out of the way.

That is what Hillary supporters have marched out over and over ad nauseam

It's bullshit and it's ugly bullshit at that.

The sneering and worse at white Bernie voters as if they're some lesser form of being is race baiting. It sucks.

It's awful the way the Hillary team has tried to tar Bernie supporters as racist.

Have some well-meaning white Bernie supporters been racially clueless or racially insensitive? Yes. But are they any worse than Hillary Clinton or her white supporters? No. Really the Clinton side has been worse because of the way they used race as a wedge to divide inside the Democratic coalition. That type of politics is very dangerous.

I'm reasonably sure that the ratio of white racism in both ranks happens to be equal and should Hillary's voters have been struggling for the minority vote and making awkward and sometimes racist overtures toward POC, (which they are of course capable of) they too would have been called out. It didn't happen that way, but thats more to do with luck, than any inherent 'purity' of the white base of either candidate's supporters.

They both suck and are great, to probably similar degrees.

What I've noted however, is how thin skinned both are in regard to racism and how poorly that is generally understood even on a supposed enlightend 'progressive' site. I'm sure the racist Bernie supporters have specifically been called out as his 'Bro' contingent' who are often clumsy and privileged and dumb in addition to those who deny their existence, rather than his supporters as a whole.

Here's hoping that following the primaries all of these threads talking specifically about racism are less about hurt white feelings but about solutions to the actual issue within white communities and beyond.

And white people who are "Not meeeee! I'm different!" repeating it.

There's a long discussion to be had about why social justice needs the white male villain, and the unrecognized hypocrisy in blaming all society's ills on a particular racial/gender profile. Not that it'll ever happen here without wailing and rending of clothes.

But this entire cycle has really seen the rise of the social justice warrior stereotypes. BernieBros is the apotheosis of it. White men are evil. We need white villains.

Even though plenty of women are for Bernie and plenty of PoCs and LGBTers support Bernie. The meme has always, always been white privileged males.

Privilege is another word that just needs to go at this point. "If you don't agree with me, you're privileged."

Because the working class and poor who prefer Bernie's policies and are tired of seeing their jobs and wages shipped overseas are just the most privileged people on earth.

It's not that it's offensive. It's just boring. Now every idiot knows the keywords and evokes them at great length and tiring volume. "I need to win this argument. Hmm. I know! Privileeeeeggggeeee!" like it's a bad Mel Gibson film.

And it makes discussion of serious issues just impossible. Debate is weaponized. Agree, or you're a terrible person!

Ok.

I'm a white male and don't feel particularly victimized either. I almost feel vaguely insulted. A hundred incredibly serious issues are facing us, and the best you can muster is a bunch of nonsensical brain mush with some phrases you read on the internets?

Oh. Lord. You're wasting both our time.

Neither does Jesse Jackson, apparently. He couldn't be bothered to endorse and vocally support Bernie, one of the three white officeholders who endorsed him for both his presidential runs.

I voted for Jesse Jackson twice, in '84 and '88. I'm disappointed he was a no-show in 2016. He should have been out there defending Bernie against charges that he is a racist, or a newbie to the cause of civil rights.

So much disdain by black people toward 'white progs' on Twitter has really been a wake-up call for me, for several months now. So much gleefulness that the white guy from the white state has been taught a lesson, and white progs given a good slap. When did white progressives become the enemy?

So much contempt for Occupy Wall Street and their outrage over millions of homes stolen by banks via mortgage fraud, dismissed as 'white people's problems.' Ditto for people upset about drowning in student loan debt -- just 'white people's problems.'

Leaders of the Congressional Black Caucus completely mischaracterized Bernie's record of support for civil rights. It's fine to endorse a different candidate, but to call Bernie a 'new friend' when he has a 20+year history of 100% ratings from the NAACP is real deceit.

A few tweets from Bernie supporters providing links to his civil rights record are described as attacks, as if whites aren't allowed to converse with blacks on Twitter. All nasty comments about Hillary are attributed to Bernie fans, when a mere 30 seconds of reading the profile of the tweeter shows it's from a Trump supporter. People can write articles about the tweets they've received, completely mis-attributing the source, and get them published in the Washington Post.

I'm gloomy and depressed. We can only make progress if we can find a way to work together and fight for progress for everyone. I don't see it happening today.

On why he says Democrats are losing white voters

Well, I am focusing on the fact that whether you're white or black or Hispanic or Asian, if you are in the working class, you are struggling to keep your heads above water. You're worried about your kids. What should the Democratic Party be talking about, Steve? What they should be talking about is a massive federal jobs program. There was once a time when our nation's infrastructure — roads, bridges, water systems, rail — were the envy of the world. Today that's no longer the case.

I would say if you go out on the street and you talk to people and say, "Which is the party of the American working class?" People would look to you like you were a little bit crazy, they wouldn't know what you were talking about, and they certainly wouldn't identify the Democrats.

On African-American support for Democrats

Well, here's what you got. What you got is an African-American president, and the African-American community is very, very proud that this country has overcome racism and voted for him for president. And that's kind of natural. You've got a situation where the Republican Party has been strongly anti-immigration, and you've got a Hispanic community which is looking to the Democrats for help.

But that's not important. You should not be basing your politics based on your color. What you should be basing your politics on is, how is your family doing? ... In the last election, in state after state, you had an abysmally low vote for the Democrats among white, working-class people. And I think the reason for that is that the Democrats have not made it clear that they are prepared to stand with the working-class people of this country, take on the big money interests. I think the key issue that we have to focus on, and I know people are uncomfortable about talking about it, is the role of the billionaire class in American society.

BUT THATS NOT IMPORTANT!?!?! No wonder his fans are dissmissive. Got it honest. Our entire fucking history in this nation is 'NOT IMPORTANT' to him. And we know exactly what that means. It means, stfu about racism and lets give white folks what they want. Because you see, only white folks are working class, the rest of us are welfare queens.

He only cares abou you. Not us, and we KNOW IT. Has he stepped in onc to say, 'hey, black folks are complaining about doxxing and swarming and harassment, my white fans, please leave them the hell alone"? No. He said he wants to bring whites back to the party. Which would DECREASE the political power of blacks. But who cares how the fuck we feel about it. Better to just search us on google to find out if we said something nasty one time and proceed to send us hatemail and tell us we are imagining shit. I told you guys from day fucking one what the fuck was wrong, did anybody listen? Fuck no. Did this to yourselves.
