Newest Brock meme: Trump "punked" Sanders by agreeing to debate him, then chickening out.

Trump's infinitely bloated ego could not resist rising to the challenge of debating Sanders when Kimmel put him on the spot. Then his campaign staff had to sheepishly walk him back from the edge of the abyss that his own indefatigable bluster had led him to.

Many Clinton DU supporters' spinning Trump's actions as some sort of win for Trump and loss for Sanders tells you everything you need to know about which Presidential candidate these Clinton supporters would prefer between Trump and Sanders. And I thought this site was called Democratic Underground. Why are these pro-Trump zealots allowed to post here?

Especially on Fox. Bernie might resist but his daily existence for the last year has been to wake up in the morning and bash Hillary and the moderator would make sure he did. And Hillary would say "I'm glad they kept their shirts on" and that would be that. No, I don't think it's going to happen.

An honest person would mention that he's attacking Trump. An honest person would also mention that attacking one's primary opponent is what primaries are all about, especially while that honest person is attacking their own candidate's primary opponent.

We need more honest people.

Every time Sanders is asked about Trump vs. Clinton, he levels Trump while defending Clinton vigorously.

It's telling, how they celebrated what they claimed was a "Trump victory". Celebrating Trump's victories, while claiming to be liberals?

That being said, he's not going to be the nominee, he's embarrassing himself, his supporters, the Democratic Party, and our country by being one of the greatest sore losers in the history of American politics. So, if he tries to jump into bed politically with Donald Trump by having a debate tailor-made to ridicule Hillary for refusing to debate someone who already lost, and Bernie was naive enough to fall for what didn't sound serious to me from the beginning, then he deserves to be humiliated and we deserve the right to laugh at his mistake. Trump knows that if he has any hope of beating Hillary, he's going to have to keep his aim pointed in her direction. Spending even one night in debate with Bernie is going to derail those efforts since even Trumpty Dumpty knows that Bernie has already fallen off the wall. Personally, I think Trump is going to lose no matter what he does, but he's certainly not going to take a chance wasting his time trying to stoke a flame that's already berned out.

All of the Sanders supporters I know are still energized and excited, and not the least bit embarrassed.

After all, we're supporting the only candidate who isn't a serial liar, and therefore we have nothing to hide!
