How is Bernie debating Trump not a positive for Hillary?

Bernie would make Trump look like an idiot, and Hillary, who is most likely the nominee, gets to stay above the fray.

If you've got two opponents, encourage them to duel...while you stay out of town. Win!

IF Trump makes Bernie look bad, who cares? She's already beat him for the nomination.

I love how the Hillary supporters feel so sad for Bernie.

As of this morning, Trump was very much on board with the debate idea. He said so during his press conference.

Sure, he could still back out, and that may be his plan, but as of now he claims otherwise.

I'm not sure why people expected this debate would come together and be completely planned within 18 hours of being proposed, but arrangements have to be made, so I would wait before assuming it's not happening.

Trump give no phuchs about no wagging fingers, he will yell over Bernie, he will call him Commie, he will bring up Bernie and socialism, bernie's affection for Castro, Burlington College, the 'writings', the Trillions in new taxes. I want this debate!!!!!!

ignore Sanders campaign positions,he's going to try and provoke Sanders into attacking Hillary. Sanders has no business debating the republican nominee,he's not going to be the democratic nominee and it's incredibly disrespectful for him to to this.

and he's already getting 20% of them. If you google it there are lots of articles with Trump reaching out to Bernie voters.

They probably would use the time to share protectionist philosophy and bash Hillary.

If Bernie had any concern about helping Trump he wouldn't have accepted the invitation. It only benefits Trump for Bernie to go.

For that reason. Trump will find reasons to back out. I think it would actually be a benefit, too. It would show Trump for the monster he is.
