Sounds like she's giving a concession speech. Mitt stands by like emotionless robot, then launches into a very uninspired crap speech.

(13,877 posts)Some are real, some aren't. Here's how you tell, as stated in the Bible, by their "works", which often means the next Saturday night. (not always) Otherwise, they would deal with it in private...IMHO.

(9,083 posts)My mother and I were active in the LDS church when we first moved to Utah in the early '80s. One Fast and Testimony Sunday a widow with 6 or 7 children got up, took the microphone and blurted, "What I want to know is, WHERE ARE THE MEN?" I don't remember the rest of her speech, because I was too busy trying not to bust out laughing.

(9,967 posts)The way she said "The next president of the US"?
She said it in a low voice, eyes downcast, without any enthusiasm or conviction. It was the most anemic intro I've ever seen.
Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part, but it looked like she didn't believe it herself
politicaljunkie41910
(3,335 posts)introduced him as the next president of the US. Talked about how long they've been together and how much they loved one another. I just rolled my eyes, but she was upbeat about it. I guess by evening she couldn't bring herself to repeat the lie, knowing that the 'dream' would never come true.

(5,693 posts)MS is very debilitating and a campaign schedule can wear out the healthiest individuals, never mind someone who is ill, so I actually feel bad for her and hope she gets to rest after Tuesday and get her strength back.

(17,651 posts)Stop it. This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring, Ann Romney said. This is hard and, you know, its an important thing that were doing right now and its an important election and it is time for all Americans to realize how significant this election is and how lucky we are to have someone with Mitts qualifications and experience and know-how to be able to have the opportunity to run this country.
I forgot about this crap. Now I'm pissed at her all over again.

(1,277 posts)Ease up on the false equivalencies. Queen Ann is Cruella Deville. The comparison with MO is absurd. Ann deserves the ridicule. Have you followed the campaign at all?

I was waiting for that line.
I just found this "quote" by Valerie Jarrett -
"I overheard the rep say that Jarrett told them, After we win this election, its our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we dont forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress wont be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.
I tried to find the original source but... depressingly, there is none,
at least not that I could find.
However, the quote is referenced many, many, many times.
Wow.
Really?
It's a deliberate slander campaign to scare "low-information" voters.
An anonymous source makes up a quote,
and instantly it's spread to hundreds of thousands of "believers".
I feel so depressed.
The right wing truly has blown a gasket, just lies and lies and lies.
They can't possibly recover with this kind of behavior.
I just can't believe this, even after developing deep cynicism about people.

However, I hope it is because they got some bad internal numbers. Almost like that scene in game change where McCain is told that he is going to lose.
