2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumBody language is very telling
I'm changing channels and caught the Romneys on Fox "News" at a rally in Colorado Springs. They know he's going to lose. They both look so defeated. Ann is trying to smile, but looks like she's trying not to cry. Just watch them without the sound and you'll see.
But contrast, President Obama looks exhilarated!

(4,551 posts)But I'm not going to take anything for granted or relax until Ohio is declared for Obama on Tuesday night. If that happens we will know that John Husted's attempt to fix the vote results failed.

(9,865 posts)It comes from them feeling like victims of this damn process. He ought to just be crowned like his Church tells him and so the two of them find all of this "hard".
I'm really, really worried about the perfect storm of election fraud gathering in Ohio right now.

(13,877 posts)and likely not well mentally. What a pair.
I blame the Republican Party most of all. They knew...looks like he was their throw-away. Good thing they have what looks like a healthy and fairly normal extended family. They won't be doing without much, either, but that won't be a happy household.

(1,773 posts)I get the impression that Romney forced his way in
by hook or crook,
just like he ran his campaign.
It's hard to be sure.
I never got the impression that the general Republican leadership wanted him.

(1,773 posts)Most people are fairly susceptible to body language, subtle clues, etc.
and I'm wonder if Mitt believed so strongly in his destiny to fulfill the prophecy
that it drove everyone else around him.
That would explain some of the crazy campaign, behavior,
but also the "sense of entitlement" that so many people mention.
They see it as a sign of arrogance and entitlement
but I wonder if it's more of a religious belief for Mitt & Ann?
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)as well as their future.
Notice how all of the sudden, all of the Republicans just backed off. Portman almost looks like a foster parent or something and Ryan...all of the King's Horses are gone.
aletier_v
(1,773 posts)I never thought i'd see the republicans falter so badly.
Mitt turned out worse than I expected.
I won't be surprised if Obama pulls 300 EVs.

My bet? He pulled that shit a couple of weeks ago and Cameron was digging for something, anything, to boost morale on the right.

(13,877 posts)inappropriate facial expressions and inappropriate emotional behavior. They tell them stories, show them pictures, etc. and record their expressions...really. This just adds to the evidence of mental unbalance. Mitt would be in Special Ed, no doubt.

I suppose body language is the natural successor to soft science, and not nearly as dated as astrology.

(202 posts)if he loses this election (which he will). All of his bullshit was put on blast in front of the whole country. He will be lucky if he can get a free cup of coffee. I'll settle for him getting a nice warm glass of shut the hell up and go away.
