I think it is a brave move for Bernie to do that, and about time.

The simple truth is our two-party system doesn't give a shit about the average American. Both parties are just out there to lasso the power of government for the benefit mostly of party cronies and to corporations that feed them. This whole liberal/conservative, red/blue right-wing/left-wing business is a smokescreen to keep the general public divided and powerless.

Poll after poll has shown that large majorities -- 70% or 80% -- agree with the things Bernie has been fighting for. And by the way, they agree with some of the things that Trump has brought out as well.

If Bernie is the nominee, he will win the support of a great many of those against whom the system is rigged.

Hillary and that gaggle of GOP losers are all products of a system that has been 100% controlled by the largest corporations for decades. They are various shares of fascist, but they are all fascists. Maybe Hillary is the least objectionable fascist out there, but she will do whatever the corporations want.

I don't trust Trump. In office, I think he would do something completely different from what he campaigns about. But his campaign rhetoric, in many ways, isn't that much different from Sanders'. In both cases, the primary issue is that Americans have been getting screwed and the system is not working for us any more.

Sanders and Trump -- not Hillary -- are the ones getting the huge crowds. In Trumps case, he is getting intense amounts of free media coverage. Sanders is getting almost no coverage, yet he is still drawing the largest crowds. They are not necessarily appealing to the same people, but they are both crossing the traditional party boundaries. That is a good thing, IMHO. This 2-party system has made America the least democratic of all the so-called democracies.

Isn't Hillary Clinton seeking to win over Republican voters?

Why yes, yes she is.

While we're at it, wasn't she also looking to win over Republcian donors from other, failed campaigns as well?

Well how about that.

By letting these politicians live within little bubbles where they never have to actually discuss their policies in any depth and never have to field a challenging question, we get politicians who stand for nothing, except for the interests of those funding them.

I would respect Cruz if he went on TYT and gave an intelligent, spirited defense of the things he believes in. I think we would all be far better off if more of that was going on. For one thing, the politicians might have to consider that what they are saying is complete bullshit, and they might actually give some intelligent thought to their positions.

You do know Clinton is trying to win over Republicans

So you are okay with Hillary wooing republicans - but NOT okay with Bernie talking on a right-wing station.

Bizarrely interesting.

It means where you find them.

Bernie can get votes from people in the middle and even on the right who don't like Trump. It is beneficial for him to make his case to them, rather than to simply write them off.

The Democratic convention has not happened yet. Neither has Hillary gotten the required number of delegates. And not all the states have had their primaries yet. So your post is in error.

Right, here's one in San Jose on Thursday. "Speaking to a couple thousand supporters ..."
http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Hillary-Clinton-Rally-in-San-Jose-Draws-Supporters-Protestors-381013201.html

Oh, and, "At a second Bay Area campaign rally this afternoon, Hillary Clinton told more than 200 supporters in San Francisco..."
http://abc7news.com/politics/hillary-clinton-makes-campaign-stop-in-san-francisco/1358461/

Whew! Impressive that she got so many supporters in rural San Francisco. But clearly they made her feel right at home -- "Clinton came on stage at about 5 p.m. below a gold gilded ceiling and between gold gilded walls at The Hibernia Bank at 1 Jones St."

They can do gold gilding nearly as well as in her home state of Wall Street--sorry, I mean, her home state of New York.
