The Super Delegates are going to have some soul searching to do come the Convention....
Anyone who denies that is ignoring the obvious.

(2,546 posts)The blindness of those who continue to support a tragically flawed candidate is indeed mind boggling. Think about the effect on the youngest among us if the kind of behavior over such an extended period of time... (decades) is rewarded... What is the message that is conveyed to young people?

(2,546 posts)LIGHT HIM UP! Read the post... Hillary and her HISTORY is ALL that a Trump Clinton "debate" would be about! The Clinton folks who are with her irrespective of WHAT she has said or done are just as....

(20,411 posts)A successful attack would put bernie further out of the race.
And trump cannot show ANY weakness and maintain his base. He would have to attack.
so obvious

(58,724 posts)They should flip and nominate the second place finisher? Is that something that Sanders would really support?
madokie
(51,076 posts)that have already given their support before a vote is cast is WRONG as WRONG can be. So yes to your question
SD has been a club used to beat Sanders over the head with since day one. Fuck hill and her SD's

(58,724 posts)The only way Bernie can win would be if the Super D's actually go against the pledged delegate results.
Wouldn't it be more fair to just cancel the votes of all the Super D's?

(51,076 posts)The primary isn't over before the last count.
A lot has happened in the last few days/weeks

(58,724 posts)There is definitely still a chance that Bernie can win NJ and CA by large enough margins to take the lead in pledged delegates. If he does that, I think he should be the nominee. Would you agree that if he is unable to do that, and Hillary leads in pledged delegates, that she should be the nominee?
madokie
(51,076 posts)I'll vote for Hillary if I have too. I'll hand my ballot to the poll worker to scan it rather than put it in the machine myself. If that is allowed that is
oberliner
(58,724 posts)I am just making the point that the winner with pledged delegates ought to be the nominee, and the Super D's should not overrule that in either direction.

(51,076 posts)and what you're saying
I just have a problem now with Hillary. Not too long ago I was all for her and her chance for being the first woman President but something happened in the last couple years that changed my mind. Really can't pin it down on anything except I just don't feel I can trust her to be honest with me.
I'm nearing the end of my time here and have a wonderful grand daughter I'm worried for. I want her to have a much better life than what I see she'll have if we as a country don't make some changes now. I'm an old hippie that thought we'd be in a much better place than we are today all those years ago and can hardly believe we as the phenomenon that we were didn't follow though with a stronger push for our vision

(58,724 posts)I certainly understand the sentiments you are expressing. Hillary is a very flawed candidate, and I fear that we might be thrust into the nightmare of a President Trump. That being said, i think we need to respect the outcome of the nomination process and work as hard as we can together to defeat the Republicans. While at the same time, people who are more in the Bernie camp than the Hillary one can continue to fight for the causes that have been the signature issues of his campaign. That fight would have to go on even if Bernie did win the White House.
agree with what you're saying and will do all I can to make sure we don't have a tRump pResidency. Thanks for this exchange that has helped me to form a more solid stance in my Support for the Dem Candidate, no matter who it is. We have to Win this one.
Have a great weekend
Peace

Those are the words of one Bernie Sanders, early on.

(2,546 posts)Hillary in the end, will NOT be the nominee! She will have not a soul to blame, but herself.
