Staunch Conservative J.D. Kleinke Makes Conservative Case For Obamacare

I must admit that I was not surprised that this op-ed from a Conservative coming out in support of Obamacare got so very little coverage in the mainstream media. After-all our Plutocracy has no desire to have an objectively informed populace as ignorance is the easiest way to keep a people oppressed and enslaved by their own choice.

J.D. Kleinke is a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a former health care executive and the author of the novel “Catching Babies.” The American Enterprise Institute is a conservative think tank that was founded in 1943. As such, he does not have a liberal bone in his body.

It is important to share and discuss this with your circle of friends and family. Most importantly, please make sure to vote and vote early if possible.

Looking at health care you have 5 possible options

1) Do nothing and the system will collapse. It is clearly nonsustainable with expenses outpacing growth.

2) Socialized Medicine ala UK

3) Socialized Insurance, single payer, capitalist health care providers, ala Canada and most developed countries (this would by my preferrred choice)

4) Employer mandated insurance with universal coverage. This was what SOS Clinton was trying to establish under the Clinton Administration.

5) Individual mandated insurance with universal coverage. First implemented as Romneycare and now as Obamacare. There are some critical changes between OC and RC, the most important being that the government now has control over the percentage of business (known as the medical loss ratio) can keep.

Option 5 was developed first by the AEI as the Republican response to #4. When the President decided to take that plan and liberalize it the Republicans showed that they never had any interest in actually solving the problem and wanted to keep the wound open in order to exploit political sensitivities about the role of government.

That you have found one AEI that has the intellectual honesty to be consistent, is indeed a surprise.

Who knew?
