GOTV in rural Ohio

I live in rural Ohio - very red county. We are ahead of our goals - so much so that I'm going to another county tomorrow to help. My friend and I did 3 packets of drive and drop today.

These knocks are for those not likely to vote - I had some people that had moved, a lot of young people and swing voters. Out of the people that we contacted, I would say 90% voting or already voted for Obama.

I knocked on one door that I knocked on 4 years ago. Then, she told me she wasn't voting for Obama. She was sarcastic and said she would have voted for Hillary. This year, I took a breath, knocked on the door and she said she was voting for Obama. I gave her early vote information. I asked her if she lived there 4 years ago - she said she did. I told her I knocked her door 4 years ago and I remembered because of the beautiful landscaping. She smiled and relaxed.

I drove by another house that I knocked 4 years ago - then, the person on my list had moved but the guy that lived there saw my button and said he thought Obama was the best choice. I registered him to vote. This year, I saw Obama and Sherrod Brown signs in his yard!

Everyone walking the line in the swing states is a superhero.

I'm raising a glass for you right now from Chicago.

Make it happen! Go go go!

Now I am concerned, since that is the most democratic area of OH.

"The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that "Cleveland, Lakewood, Brecksville, Berea and Hunting Valley each have one polling place in the dark. Bay Village has four spots without power." In addition, more than a dozen other polling locations could not be reached by phone."

There's an army of us all across this great nation. I worked into the evening on Friday after working a full day. Worked almost eight hours today and I'm going back again on Sunday and Monday.

The way I look at it, the greater the struggle, the greater the reward.

NO QUIT IN ME NOW. 72 hours to go. Then we rest.
