before the Senate votes on confirmation. I'd be surprised if Obama announces his choice to replace her much before Valentine's Day.

And it doesn't scare me if President Obama is elected and I doubt that she will retire if a republican won the election.

Thing for her to do was announce her retirement right after health care got upheld. That way there is/was no risk of Romney getting to name her replacement.

For one thing RBG would not likely pre-announce her retirement a couple days before a presidential election. That just strains credulity. I do not think it has ever been done that way.

Sure, there have been rumors reported before the fact. But, from the lack of details in your post, I must presume that it is just moonshine.

If a Supreme Court justice had announced retirement, it would be out on all the news site or on Twitter.

The only news I can find on Ginsburg is that this week Glamour Magazine named her as Woman of the Year:
