Getting 307 will simply empower the republican obstructionists that Obama has no mandate, and they have no obligation to work with him.

2014 is an off-year election, and the repukes will turn out their tea party fuckers again en-masse and probably gain a few seats somewhere.

The next 4 years are going to be hellatious for Obama, and the reouke majority will cause gridlock.

Really doesn't matter.

Cramming it down their throats doesn't matter to them.

They've already built the narrative, and when romney doesn't win "I hope he fails" will be the nicest thing they say.

the popular will be razor thin (possibly even Romney) because people in the Blue States impacted by the storm, except for a hot local race, have a lot of higher priority things on their minds.

The Republicans will point to that and imply an illegitimate president (maybe overtly say it of course).

go on the limb and give a prediction. I think the only state Obama loses from 2008 will be Indiana. I'm not willing to give Romney North Carolina.
