I'm making a list of the best ones to watch for on Tuesday night.
Elizabeth Warren winning would be huge. That one is on my radar.

(461 posts)Vilsack since I live in IA-4 now. I know David Gill personally since I used to live in the old IL-15 district (in which he ran against Tim Johnson) before the redisticting last year. I volunteered for his 2010 campaign and was able to get to know him through that. Gill is a great progressive!

At home, I'd love to see both NH congressional seats return to blue, but realistically I'd settle for one.

also interested in Congressional District 7....
Sean Duffy (of "Real World Fame)R$ vs Pat Kreitlow (D)...Dave Obey's old seat...gerrymandering has given Duffy a whole bunch of new, R$ precincts along the WI/MN border...going to be hard to beat.
Also

Interesting dynamic...the Tea Bagger running against Lassa in 24 is now saying he will be "an independent voice"; the "swing vote" in the Senate to give "power" to Central WI...
the truth: he's a Ron Paul/Tea Party/Alex Jones supporter.

I have sent money to Powell and will call today to see if there is anything I can do out of state because Cantor has got to be defeated. PLEASE If you live nearby do some work to get Cantor defeated.

(3,502 posts)I don't know the state of that race, but Tim Bishop is a huge asset and his opponent is horrible. It's not my congressional district, but it's right next door. We used to be in Steve Israel's district, but we got redistricted into Peter King's. Won't be able to get rid of him. maybe ever. Will vote for Vivianne Falcone, his D opponent, but there's no chance there.

(43,049 posts)Randy Althschuler, the offshoring king and past teabagger favorite who almost nailed him last time and it wasn't settled until after weeks of recounting.
This time Newsday, our Long Island paper, endorsed Altschuler, which may or may not make a difference. The good news is that the Bishop campaign is working its ass off while the teabaggers seem to be taking this year off.
Fortunately, Greens, Working Families and any other left fringe parties haven't screwed him by endorsing anyone else. They have their own candidates for Senate, but Gillibrand is so far ahead it's meaningless and just for show.

(1,706 posts)The Dems have a slim margin in the Iowa Senate. My Senator, Jeff Danielson, is a strong effective leader, but he's running against a popular guy who's getting a lot of outside money.

(24,303 posts)When he was Attorney General in California in the 90s, we passed proposition 215, the medical marijuana initiative by a large margin. After the election, he said as AG he would not recognize that law because the "voters were tricked." He actually said that. I despise this scum. He's not my Congressman, but he's an embarrasment to the state of California.
