Questions and confusion about exit polls, results announcements?

I know that something has changed in terms of the exit polling and am wondering if anyone knows how this will influence the calling of states for the candidates on Tuesday night. I actually don't even know if the networks will be using exit polls at all to make these calls? Does anyone know? What is earliest time a state might be called and how does that relate to the time the polls close in those states? Also, are early votes essentially already counted?
