Romney concedes Nevada is Obama's.

To have any credibility at all they need to make some concessions.

There goes Nevada:

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57544787/inside-romney-camp-tension-and-optimism-as-election-day-looms/

Those leads in Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Iowa still hold in the internal polls, campaign sources say, but Romney's movement flattened out or, as the campaign likes to say, "paused." Nevada is now off the table, and those neck-and-neck swing states are even tighter.

Here is the reason why

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/03/1155108/-My-final-Nevada-early-voting-update-of-the-2012-election-cycle

As of now 701,845 ballots have been cast in Nevada prior to election day. Early in-person voting ended yesterday, but of course election officials will still be getting absentee ballots in the mail on Monday and Tuesday and probably after that.

701,845 votes constitute 55.81% of the 1,257,621 active registered voters in Nevada and
72.53% of the 970,019 votes that were cast in the 2008 election in Nevada.

In 2008, according to Mr. Michael McDonald, 648,903 voted in Nevada by mail or in person prior to election day. That constituted 53.72% of the then 1,207,761 active registered voters in Nevada, so we can clearly see that turnout has gone up in the early/absentee voting since 2008 even as a percentage of active voters.

Here is the breakdown by party:

Dems 307,877 (43.87%)
Reps 259,913 (37.03%)
Inds 134,055 (19.10%)

TOTAL 701,845

Nevada, a state with the highest unemployment and a high Mormon base, should have been easy for Romney.

With half of the ballots now cast in Nevada Romney would have to have a 12% margin on election day. In 2010, during the huge Republican win nationwide Democrats out performed Republicans by 2% on election day.

Nevada is going to go for Obama.

Nevada is turning blue.

The campaign is purposefully skewing polling data to reflect their belief as to what turnout will be rather than scientifically allowing the polling methodology indicate what that turnout will be.

This is a classic mistake made by losing campaigns.

The article sets the stage for Romney to blame Superstorm Sandy. And the phrase "knife fight in a phone booth" is in the article twice! That sounds like a racist dog whistle to me. It's just so breathtaking how the media is undermining our democracy.

We are supposed to trust these "journalists" now? Imagine if that same unsourced report had been written about Obama.
They can say anything they want now and the truth is irrelevant. Narrative is king.

I wonder if the institutions of higher learning in the US should rename their Journalism schools to Narrative (i.e. B.S.) schools.
