Louisville Courier-Journal (KY's largest newspaper) Endorses President Obama

In just two days, voters in Kentucky and Indiana will have a chance to go the polls and join the nation in electing the next president of the United States.

We endorse Democratic incumbent Barack Obama for a second term and urge his re-election as president.

Too often, voters lament the lack of a viable choice among candidates.

This choice for president could not be clearer.

Mr. Obama has helped steer the nation from the brink of a major depression, extricated it from one unpopular war and imposed a deadline for another. His efforts, unlike the proposal of his opponent (“Let Detroit go bankrupt”), are credited with helping save the U.S. auto industry from collapse.

The President successfully launched crucial health care reforms in a country where the lack of access to basic care is a shameful exception among developed nations. Yes, people in this country do die or face financial ruin for lack of health insurance and it’s time the smug adversaries of “Obamacare” faced this reality.

I saw her put forward on one of the talkers this morning as a possible challenger in the next Senate election there!
