Gallup: Obama up by 16 with women, down by 10 with men in Swing States, yet Race TIED

Huh, unless they expect a huge lopsided turnout of men this year, how can this be?

Obama has improved his standing in the past few weeks by regaining support among women in the swing states. The gender gap — that is, the disparity between the way men and women vote — stands at historically high levels after narrowing in the early October. Obama now leads among women by 16 points; Romney leads among men by 10.

It may very well be 2 to 1 for Obama.

However, while I could be wrong, I expect most of the transgender community will be in the Obama camp. Of course I expect they are not detecting this in a phone interview, as most of the members of the transgender community I have met have a clear answer to the Male/Female question. Perhaps they just don't know math, or expect the women to be in binders.

In 2008, women made up 53% of all voters and men 47%. If that same split is true on Tuesday, we win 51.9% to 48.1%. Even it was even turnout, it would be 51.5% to 48.5%. Men would need to out number women 62% to 38% for Romney to win...not going to happen.

9. And RCP still has the Gallup Romney +5 poll up, even at this late hour.

10. I think RCP will keep the Romney +5 poll in until tomorrow

Because I think this Gallup poll technically counts as a swing state poll, rather than a National poll.

RCP will only change the Gallup number once tomorrow's official NATIONAL poll comes out.

My theory, anyway.
