I don't think the Romney campaign are making this one up. Most of the time they are lying, but on this one they appear to be telling the truth.

You don't send a surrogate if you're really concerned. You send the candidate.

This is a standard GOTV push for a state with no early voting: hit the Dem corners to push up turnout.

Pennsylvania: Obama 52%, Romney 44% (YouGov)

And I say if they are going to put a lot of money in PA we should answer in kind just to be on the safe side.

“We have known all along that the race is going to be close in Pennsylvania although the President continues to hold a lead,” Montgomery County Democratic Chairman Marcel L. Groen told PhillyBurbs.com Sunday. “With both parties spending millions in the state in-last minute advertising and the opposition sending their candidates and surrogates, it would be foolish of us not to bring in our own heavy hitters.”

Also, the Clintons tend to be favored in PA. Why not send him there?

They are probablt as good as they're going to get everywhere else -- and if Bubba want to go, let him.

He's done the same for down ticket races in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Also going after Bachmann in MN.

The reading on Romney's flank attack at PA is this:

He doesn't think he can carry Ohio so he needs another state like PA with its 20 EV's versus OH's 18.

More realistically, they found out there is no air time available in all the other swing states so they're pumping money for ads into PA.

It's at best a Hail Mary pass or an act of desperation since he's lagging in every state that counts.

I'll go with the PPP last of this campaigns poll of Obama up 5 nationally and up at least 3-4 in every other swing state.

Not to worry!

For Carmona and even Murphy in Connecticut. Now for Casey. And to block any last minute attempt Mittens might have to try and make it close in PA.
