2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAnyone who thinks Hillary is going to be "indicted" needs to get to a psychiatrist and FAST.
Seriously, ANYONE who actually thinks this is NUTS. First, there is no crime. Next, there is no criminal intent. Next, you'd have to indict dozens and dozens of people across decades from the State Dept. including former Sec. of State and ARMY GENERAL Colin Powell. Loretta Lynch isn't going to bring an "indictment" action on ANYONE involved in this email stuff.
So enough of the sheer INSANITY talk about being "indicted." It is CRAZY to the very hilt.
Hey, is Trump going to get INDICTED over the fraudulent Trump University? Ask that. Maybe he should, if they can find a crime. Still, he is most definitely being SUED for it as we speak. Try talking about THAT for a change.

Hillary really betrayed Andrea Mitchell... The entire context of this report was of a solemn nature... A Funeral so to speak...
Andrea Mitchell "I do not see this report as ...ANYTHING BUT... DEVASTATING!"
Chuck Todd "After this I don't think that she could get confirmed for Attorney General!"
Lots of FIBBING by Hillary here.. for more than a year!

(7,299 posts)that we needed to wait until California voted. They also claimed that the primaries were stolen. Now that they know that California will not change the delegate deficit, they're down to walking two planks. 1) Wait until the convention and 2) Indictment. As soon as Hillary is officially nominated, they will be down to walking their last plank: Indictment. When that fails them they'll default back to the election being stolen. THIS IS WHAT DESPERATION LOOKS LIKE !!!!!!

(22,056 posts)Your points have been observed before, Trust Buster, and I suspect that many of Senator Sanders' supporters are experiencing the trajectory that you've outlined.
But the Democratic party needs all of us to vote for our candidates. We need to get the Republicans out of office. Let's not alienate the people we'll need in November. We don't need to bash Senator Sanders' supporters.
Be kind; you'll be happier.
Trust Buster
(7,299 posts)The more extreme Sanders supporters on DU make up a tiny percentage of all Sanders supporters. We do not need this minority subset that has treated us so viciously to win the White House. You should not defend their behavior. There comes a time in life when one must stand up for principle.
PJMcK
(22,056 posts)I believe you're correct that the extremists in Senator Sanders' base tend to be the loudest voices but they represent a very small subset of the electorate. And I'm certainly not defending their behavior. Conversely, I don't support or defend the angry and vicious tone of many of Secretary Clinton's supporters; you've seen their posts here on DU as well. Both of these viewpoints are over-the-top and divide the Democratic Party.
My point was simply that it's often easier to ignore the angry vitriol. It keeps my blood from boiling.
Lastly, I completely agree that one has to stand for one's principles. That's why I will vote a straight Democratic ticket.

I'm glad you did the FBI's work for them and concluded there was no crime. I think I'll wait for the FBI report though.
And the notion that other State Dept. folks would have to be indicted is ridiculous. There's no requirement that someone indict Powell, especially when the recently released report clarified that Hills took this practice to a new and never before seen level by utilizing a private server to perform all official business, something none of her predecessors did.

(5,761 posts)Sorry but Colin Powell isn't the same as Hillary. There is clue #1.
First off, Powell had NO server in his house. Secondly, it was ALLOWED at the time of Pwell, those rules changed later on under Obama and Hillary knew this and it was no longer allowed. The reason why Powell did this was to bring his department up to the digital age.
I highly suggest you watch this because I'm thinking right now you really don't know what is going on by your statements in your post. This will clear up a lot of what you said.

(218 posts)There's been so much nastiness and mud thrown at Hillary from the Republicans throughout her career; if people think she will be indicted, impeached, thrown in jail, etc.....
I'm not surprised.
But I am disturbed and upset by those who proclaim to be on our side and they seem to *hope* for her to get indicted.
Trump is the true enemy....not Hillary....not Bernie.
I would gladly take either of them as my candidate against him and as my POTUS.
The people have overwhelmingly chosen Hillary. Why hope for her failure?

(2,064 posts)will be highly entertaining.
The FBI wouldn't be spending time and money investigating this for as long as they have - under a Democratic administration no less - unless there was something that needed to be investigated. And in case you forgot, she's at the center of all of this. You know, because it was HER unauthorized server that garnered the FBI's attention.
But keep whistling past that graveyard...

She should be indicted, that is the truth. And if not indicted, something very close. And it should affect her running for President, but apparently to many here it really doesn't. Guess they've bought the whole bullshit line, hook and sinker.
