Morning Joe is downright laughable!

When I grow up I want to learn how to "cherry pick" polls as well as Morning Joe does?

OMG.... What a right wing fairy tale!

What they are doing this morning is not even journalism. They literally are not telling the facts with regard to where this race truly stands.

We wonder why so many people are misinformed on issues such as climate change. We wonder why so many people are ignorant as to how polls work and our political system.

But if you were not a member of this board or had the schedule to spend a lot of time on this election, and you just watched the first segment of Morning Joe, you literally would have a false, inaccurate viewpoint as to where this race stands. And it wouldn't necessarily be your fault. The information they are receiving is just terrible.

The first segment of MSNBC was a travesty. Its very sad that such inaccurate "story telling" is allowed to air on what is suppose to be a cable news station.

Nate Silver and Sam Wang must be laughing there "you know what off" looking at Morning Joe this morning.

Where have the smart, unbiased, intellectual thinkers who simply report the facts gone?

Kochy Roberts called it "basically tied" this morning; a slight change from "virtually tied" she's been using the past few weeks.

"the race as tightened the last few weeks" - perhaps it did, but the trend reversed after the second debate. no mention of that.

A whole segment of wishful thinking if you are a republicon.

and saw that they kept showing the Susquehanna poll in Pennsylvania that has the race at a tie. Nevermind all of the other polls that show a solid Obama lead, let's just cherry pick one outlier poll and act like it's a proper reflection of the race. I had to turn it over before I smashed my tv.

They don't know who is going to win?

I'm sorry, as of about 48 hours ago, that is no longer accurate.

Gambling outlets in Ireland are already paying out bets. Only GOP shenanigans can lead to a Romney win now. The numbers are the numbers. Obama is ahead and going to win based on the current trajectory which only has 24 hours left.

What am I missing?

even when a significant portions of polls for the same state would show a bigger margin of victory.

I don't recall them being this bad in 2008 but perhaps that's because the race was becoming one sided by a certain time.

when they lose. In 2008 I think they kinda expected it, but if they feel they are going to win they can feel the pain I had in 2004. The only thing is that we will win legally but I'm in Ohio where it was stolen in 2004 . I hope I never feel that political pain again.

If that is really applicable, then they all know Obama has this won. At this stage of the game watch for Republican Dirty Tricks (a/k/a their normal waking behavior), spinning a false narrative completely out of this world, and distractions.

Case in point, Morning Joe the day before the election. All he wanted to talk about at the outset this morning was the Alabama/LSU game. Then, the loaded Mellon Scaife poll in PA, and on he goes with all that superior Romney enthusiasm. Oh yes, Romney has more enthusiasm, just ask Mark Halperin!

Their job has (unfortunately) gone from reporting the facts to selling a narrative. With the narrative perspective, there it is much more exciting to sell a tie, rather than the truth.

Either way, I'm kind of happy that they are claiming it is tied- that way it can keep Obama supporters from being complacent on Tuesday

just to save what little sanity I have left. Here is what I think they do...honestly. I think they flip a coin each day to decide whether they will be FOR Obama of AGAINST Obama. Or they alternate days for that. Whatever. You can never know with certainty how they will play it out. I remember a day not too many weeks ago when Joe literally had his head in his hands moaning, "Sweet Jesus!" complaining about something Romney had done. But just as quickly, he can get back on the bandwagon and rag all over Obama. And his mocking of Nate Silver is well known.

I do NOT think Joe is that dumb, although he does utter some really bone headed things. I believe it's all part of his act to make this election a horse race and keep viewers tuned in. However, on days like today, he managed to get a panel guaranteed to piss off most Democrats. When Mort Zuckerman was on, I was ready to scream. When John McCain was on, I was literally screaming at my TV. Shortly after that I folded my cards and left that game.

So why do some of us here continue to watch MJ? The answer is like the answer to the question why keep hitting yourself in the head with a hammer???? Because it feels so GOOD when you stop. LOL

Hope everyone here has a good day, better tomorrow and remember to take Joe and his minions with a large grain of salt!!!
