Losing home states?

Does anyone know when the last time, if it has ever happened, a president and vice-president nominee BOTH lost their home states? It could happen this election with Mass. and Wisconsin voting for President Obama?

lost their respective home states of South Dakota and Maryland in 72 iirc.

Mitt will lose his state of birth- MI, will lose in his state of residence- MA-will lose in his vacation state of New Hampshire, but will take his other vacation haven of Utah.

Ryan will lose his home state of WI.

The President will take Illinois and Hawaii. Joltin' Joe has Delaware locked up- and his birth state of PA is NOT on the bubble.
