Even if your state doesn't actually require it, bring your driver's license or government-issued photo ID.

I could've voted early; I've done it in the past.

But I enjoy the routine miracle of strolling through my neighborhood to my local poll and placing my vote on election day. I see my neighbors. I chat it up with the poll staff and let them know I appreciate them doing their part. My vote helps to validate their efforts.

I just savor the Norman Rockwell American-ness of it all. And I pay tribute to those who've lost their lives making it possible.

I am a convicted felon. There were years that I couldn't vote because I was in prison. I'm lucky to live in a state that permits me to vote.

Our SoS here in MI is a Rethug and she made it more difficult to register to vote. I had to wait for over an hour to update my voter registration & change my address.

I will be voting no matter what obstacles may come up.

On to victory!

to pick me up at 5:55am, drive me to firehouse so I can vote and then take me to the train station. I wanted to get an early start so I can come home from work and park myself in front of the tv for the results.
