I am convinced the GOP will deny Trump the Nomination

He was never playing to the hard right during the primary season and will moderate as some suggest, rather, he is a bigoted, narisccist, that will not be "handled" by anyone. His "gaffe track" is unprecedented in US history and Republicans are starting to realize that, not only will he lose big, he will severely damage an already endangered party. However, if they deny him the nomination; they're screwed by the blacklash of the crazies on the right!

Happy Days are here again!

Choice 1: They have this train wreck of a candidate

Choice 2: They go against the will of the voters and piss their base the hell off. That will not go well.

Either way, it should be interesting.

They're not going to tear their already fractured party to shreds by handing the nomination to somebody who didn't run. And they're certainly not going to hand it to Cruz, who they barely like any better than Trump.

they likely are going to lose big this cycle, but can say "OK dumb asses, you got your guy, now get back in line" and find whatever bullshit they need to work against Hillary in the mid term.

But, if they take the nomination from the guy who has the most votes, delegates and states, by far, and even worse, someone with such a dumb ass volatile mentality, they will lose those pods, who have won them a LOT of elections for nearly half a century now, for a generation or so.

the alternatives they have are two losers for president, and the 16 dwarves that lost to tRump. You don't want to put someone out there that is a proven loser. Then you're left with a newcomer with no infrastructure. No I think they are going to take the humiliation and regroup for 2020. Albeit with some interesting primary rule changes. They may go back to party boss nominating.

If they dump him there could be a major explosion.

And it could be the whole Federal Republican party.

I('m sure all the state and local Republican lowbrows will still do just fine once again and keep control of the nation. )

Something like 10+ points regularly, like it was in march, and perhaps another episode of racist controversy for them to pull it off.

And that's the thing, why are we all assuming Trump is automatically going to lose in a landslide? Even after his disastrous 10 days he's still polling within 5 points of Hillary and is still competitive in swing states like Florida/Pennsylvania.

We need to stop making assumption that this is a automatic landslide win.

Lets not forget, we have nominated the most unpopular democratic nominee of all time, and would have had the worst favorables ever had Trump not won.

The mess of this primary is uncharted territory for both major parties. Personally, I've stopped worrying about it. The party I have worked within my entire adult life, has basically told me they don't give a shit about me and don't want to hear what I have to say. Loyalty is a two way street or it's not at all.

They will cringe at his open racism (to them, racism needs to be more carefully coded), but ultimately they don;t have a problem supporting a racist if he gives them some of what they want.
